i am very familiar to Sweden, especially Ystad and Simrishamn, but that’s not a very important factor, when it comes to why i love that hotel.
I wish there were a way to upload photos and videos to give a more detailed review. First of all, i am a big fan of antics and buildings that have been around for decades, and this building offers that sort of reach into the past vibe. The rooms and hallways are adorned with interesting portraits and posters of artists and celebrities, and it’s one of those places that still use an actual key to access the rooms (there’s a digital entry at the main entrance as well.
Everything is nearby, the city hall, the train station, lots of shops and restaurants, all within 2-15 minutes from the hotel. Do not rent a car. it is simply NOT needed!
I had the privilege to enjoy breakfast at one of the locations where they shot the tv series Wallander (Netflix.) My room
opened into the small courtyard, and it was simply a much appreciated add-on. If you’re a writer and want to have some quiet time to chill or write…this is a place to consider. I will definitely go back, despite having the option to stay with friends and family.
