Booked three rooms for five nights. The location is impeccable and free parking is a big plus. The Chinese staff are very nice and friendly. However the foreign staff are not. The young white lady in the lobby is kind of arrogant and does not greet guests at all (at least not to Chinese guests). Secondly, one of the rooms (1036) has pretty bad smoking odor and we had to move the kids to other rooms that are pretty far away from the elevator.

Check in was very fast My room was 1037 Big and clean Fast internet Breakfast: Simple but very good. Shrimp and pork dumplings were to die for. I ate 10 of them. All hotel staff was very nice. They called a taxi right away when I needed one. No laundry facilities but the front office was able to locate one for me This hotel is next to the river with great night views of the Oriental Pearl Tower. I had a facial at the Spa. The lady that helped me was very nice.

It is a very nice hotel on 188 North Suzhou Road. A wonderful location for taking beautiful pictures of the landmarks. Hotel staff are all very polite and friendly. The gentleman, Jerry Pan, who registered me and my husband at check-in, is very professional. He made sure everything was resolved at our satisfaction. We rented the premier room on the sixth floor with a big balcony overseeing the Suzhou Creek and a direct view to the Oriental Pearl TV Tower area. The day time view was great but the night time view with the light show was a breathtaking beauty you can ever see a commercial district. I think there are several restaurants in the hotel. We only tried the Chinese Restaurant at the 1st floor and the breakfast at the 2nd floor. The breakfast was a half buffet that you can choose one of the three set breakfasts and get more rest from buffet. Food is overall pretty good. There is an Italian restaurant on the other side of the sixth floor separated from the guest room by security which also has great views if you can’t get a room with the view and the balcony.

The hotel room was spacious, clean and orderly. What was disappointing was that the terrace open time was too short. I tried to stop by in the evening around 10PM and the restaurant was already closed and we can’t access the terrace to have a view of the Bund, which was the primary reason we booked this hotel.

Simply wao, what a great hotel, beautiful, modern, new, great people attending sadly the language barrier and lack of English was a problem to comunícate. But besides that, great. Must work on areas to enjoy after 8 pm. Everything closed and that is no good for customers.

i enjoyed every minute of my stay in the hotel with great view of the river. The amenities were great and also the room technology was very convenient. Just disappointed with the birthday cake that they offered as the taste and freshness (too sweet and have feeling that the cake was made couple of days ago) was far below my expectation.

Booked the Bellagio Shanghai for a surprise birthday weekend for the missus, having been to their Lago restaurant I was curious how the room itself would hold up. Everything about the hotel looks/smells new, from the lobby, elevator to the room itself. Our room was a little difficult to access as the "shortcut" was turned into a storage area so we had to take the long route. The room itself was tastefully done with a long foyer and a spacious bathroom area before you enter the living quarter. The living area had plenty of room even with our little one's extra bed in place. We booked the deluxe riverview room and you get a slice of the view of the Bund. Knowing about the occasion prior, the hotel had prepared a small cake and a bouquet of flower to the missus's delight. Other than that, the breakfast selection was good and the staff were pleasant to deal with. One thing however, one afternoon we walked into our room with the front door wide open and two hotel staff standing inside. Turned out our housekeeper (who was very pleasant) found a leak in the bathroom and they had sent someone up to fix it. After a while we were offered an upgrade to another room while we wait by hanging out at the pool. The pool and jacuzzi were great especially since we were the only ones there. In all, the Bellagio Shanghai feels like a gem hidden in the Hongkou district, with a certain "luxury goods brand" hotel which is more well known and more expensive that's nearby.

Nice hotel. Staff are good. This is a true five star hotel. Would be nice if there was a casino! The plates and silverware in the room were dirty, and that was disgusting. But other than that, everything is great.

Very nice, new, upscale hotel! Booked only 1 night but extended another 2 nights! Not crowded, and staff speaks English. In-room dining was very good.
