Clean & Tidy place, close to city. Helpful and friendly host. Only problem is the steep climb to get to the rooms

The proprietor and our host was "to avoid a pun" MARVELLOUS, the room was lovley and fully equipped, very clean with fully furnished traditional Sri Lankan furniture, bed was HUGE and very comfortable, our host could not do enough to make our few days in Kandy great, we also enjoyed the traditional Sri Lankan breakfast

We had quite an amazing experience at Marvel Hills. Location very good for local access, complete privacy in the room, and a host who was quite exceptional. Freshly prepared local cuisine for breakfast, great chats with the host, he even arranged for a local spice seller to come and see us, so now we have enough, high quality, spices to last for a good while. Excellent!

Superb. Location is central but above the hurly-burly of the city. Rooms are clean and cool with all the facilities you could want. Gracious hosts, quiet location. Highly recommended.

Cute house up the hill from the main street which made it quieter except for the music school across the street.

My wife and I stayed for 2 nights. We can’t recommend this home too much. It certainly felt like we were at home. The room was so clean, bed was comfortable and bathroom spotless. Our room was well appointed, entered via its own garden. We had special views across the whole valley. We hooked up to the Wi-Fi and looked for things to do but our host knew all the good things to do, he even organized a TukTuk tour with a local guide. Our tour was fantastic and such a great price. We took breakfast had delicious home cooked roti with coconut salad and chutney along with eggs and fruit. On the first night we ventured into the city for dinner and on the second night we stayed local. Both restaurants were good. The local shops were terrific, selling local fresh food. We moved on to South but wished we had stayed longer.

Fantastic stay at Marvel Hills. Sarath is the perfect host, welcoming, friendly and helpful. Breakfast offerings were plentiful both traditional and western. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. Sarath organised a TukTuk for us for a day with a friendly local. Would highly recommend and we will definitely be returning.

Wonderful Natural Landscape - in the heart of the city but feels like a Nature Reserve

The host did everything he could to make our stay pleasent. We had s varied breakfast trying out local products. The garden is very beautiful. We had a wonderful terrace overlooking the hills and a small outdoor kitchen.

Immaculate and superb architecture and decor. A wonderful house and very high standards. Professionally delivered. Superb English speaking. Breakfast was very good indeed and the hosts even put together drinks and food one evening which was splendid. 5 star stay

Besides the long steps up to our room, this was a very pleasant stay for my sisters and I. The owner was very nice and welcomed us. The property has such a beautiful view. The property itself is very cozy sitting on a hill. Every morning breakfast is served, fresh eggs, delicious toast, juice and tea. The owner's son was very friendly and engaged in a fun conversation in our room, very nice family. We stayed in the apartment that made us feel right at home. Thankyou for the great hospitality! I would definitely stay here again when I visit Sri Lanka.

The walk up the steep driveway was worth it! Our hosts made us feel very welcome and opened up their house to us. We had a spacious private room with en-suite. Only 3 rooms. Nice to walk around the garden. It was lovely to interact with other travelers and our hosts. Short tuktuk trip into Kandy town centre.

Excellent host and a great stay overall. Let us check-in early which we greatly appreciate as we came straight from the airport in the early morning. Just that there are many steps to the room which might be a little tiring for older people.

Le logement est situe dans un secteur au calme permettant un acces rapide a pied ou en taxi a un grand axe de kandy. La chambre, les parties communes et le jardin sont tres bien entretenues. L'hote est tres accueillant et il est agreable de passer du temps a echanger avec lui.

Clean room, nice garden and city view, kind owner

Das Zimmer und das Badezimmer waren beide sehr geräumig und makellos sauber – wirklich zum Wohlfühlen. Besonders hervorzuheben ist der Gastgeber: ausgesprochen freundlich, herzlich und jederzeit hilfsbereit. Man fühlt sich als Gast wirklich willkommen. Ein rundum angenehmer Aufenthalt!
