Well appointed boutique hotel in a great location in Gion District. The twin bed room and bathroom were well-sized for Japanese standards and provided with nice amenities. Staff did an exception job at cleaning the room and common areas. The staff was also very friendly and helpful in answering questions and recommending shops and restaurants in the area. Hotel was a located within easy walking distance to the Sanjo-dori, Shijo-dori, Pontocho, Karasuma, and Gion shopping areas and multiple transit lines that will take you throughout the greater Kyoto area so you have access to all of the major attractions. Highly recommend and will definitely stay at this hotel on future visits.

Our room was very small and difficult to move around. The toilet and the bath room section was too dark.

Cute little hotel. Staff was great. Rooms were standard size for Japan. Very clean. Everything was walkable. Metro was close. Perfect for a 3 night stay.

The hotel is tucked away on a quiet side street within Gion - a beautiful, old area of Kyoto. The room was spacious and clean. The king bed was big and so comfy. The staff were very kind and helpful and the traditional Japanese breakfast was so tasty. We had the best stay and would highly recommend.

Very close to river bank(within 5 minutes). Even though nearby big streets and shops were overflowed with so many tourists, once inside the hotel, very quiet, relaxed atmosphere. Only thing I was disappointed was breakfast. Japanese style breakfast only. Quality and quantity is not great

The staff was so friendly and helpful. The location was very convenient.

The hotel staff was excellent and the location was right in the heart of everything. The few issues were the room had a damp smell, the pillows were so flat even after stacking two of them, and the tub stopper didn't work. Other than that the room was very clean and I would probably stay here again.

Loved how unique this hotel is. Our room was quite large compared to other places we stayed in Japan. Very clean and so close to so many attractions.

It took us a while to find the hotel when we first got to Kyoto as it’s nestled in this neighborhood with a subtle sign. We really enjoyed our stay here as it was a great location, comfortable rooms and very clean. We really enjoyed the Japanese breakfast every morning. Minutes from subway stations, shops and restaurants. The staff is super friendly and spoke English too.

This is a lovely boutique hotel in the Gion district. Near flowing rivers, lovely stores and full of charm.

This hotel location is perfect for anyone wanting to explore kyoto gion area. Its like 5 star hotel, really clean and very comfortable bed. Staffs are very friendly and helpful Highly recommend it to anyone going kyoto

The property was in an excellent location for visiting the Gion area of Kyoto. It was very clean, the staff was great and the room was just the right amount of modern technology mixed with the traditional Japanese decor you want when visiting a historic city like Kyoto!

Very neatly refurbished hotel. Comfortable room and bed. Quiet location, a few minutes walk from Sanjo station. Nice Japanese style breakfast.
