We travelled very far and when we arrived it was early for check-in however, although check-in was at 3pm we were told our room was not ready still and had to wait. The shower in the room wasn't working which no one told us about when we tried to change rooms this was not possible and we were told there is a bath to use this. The bath had no shower attachment making it very difficult to use and with 4 of us sharing this made washing very long. We were very disappointed that despite all these issues there was no gesture of goodwill.

Very pretty from the outside but had a feel of an old person’s home from the inside. The staff was very attentive and helpful.

rooms were clean, staff friendly. breakfast was good. It would have been great if there was decafe coffee but a small price to pay (took my own) even though there was a conference on all weekend all was fine as long as you avoided their meal sit down times

Me and my wife stayed here on our wedding night. We were quite disappointed. There wasn't really much of a greeting on the door. We weren't told but there was another wedding going on underneath where our room was. It was really loud untill about 12:30. We stayed during a heat wave and there wasn't any air-conditioning. I went down to the reception and the staff did manage to get us a fan. They weren't able to move our room to somewhere quieter as the place had been booked out with this other wedding. We thought the decor was quite dated with some of the carpets looking quite rough. Overall it wasn't the special experience we were hoping for on our wedding night despite telling the hotel in advance it was a our wedding night. We told the staff on reception in the morning how disappointed we were they took our details but nothing came of it. If we had our wedding night again we wouldn't stay here.

Probably the dirtiest Hotel I've ever stayed at. Dead flies next to the breakfast food. Stains on all the carpets. Wedding noise until mid night.

Lovely little hotel, very good room, although it was extremely hot in to heatwave. But the lovely gent at reception gave up his fan so we could use this to get some sleep. Beautiful surroundings and lovely little town nearby.

Location is lovely, breakfast was good. We were in a superior room in newer part. Room was noce and big, shower etc was good. But mattress was VERY soft/knackered. And the TV had no remote, so went to turn on at TV, and it didn't even have a power lead. Parking good also.

Just what we needed for a stop off - lovely friendly staff and well looked after. Maybe could do with a little updating but ticked all the boxes

Although I asked for a walk in shower the bathroom had a glass frontage to the bedroom. Yes there was some opaque bands but privacy was at a minimum! The food was okay in the evening but the service was extremely slow! Breakfast okay but I can never get my head around hot food being placed on stone cold plates!

This hotel is very tired and showing its age - it is a shame as the room I had was large with a large bathroom but the furniture is very old and scuffed. There was a Roman blind on my window that was broken so I couldn’t open it - obvious signs of water damage around the window and windowsill. Clearly has seen better days My bedding and towels were clean and the bed was fairly comfortable

Nice room but the mattress needed replacing. It was too bouncy, saggy and not supportive.

The room was clean and comfortable. I did complain about a fire door that was banging on closing. This complaint didn't appear to receive attention.

I booked a twin room but it was made up as a double so had to get this changed. Requested a walk in shower but got a shower room with glass walls! Staying with my 90 year old mother so was not happy with this. Hotel looked lovely from outside but inside decor was very bland and boring. Gardens had not been yended to and grass not cut. Having informed the hotel i was staying with my 90 yo mother and requested a downstairs room they put us at the far end of the hotel so we to walk a ling way. They also failed to say they had a lift! All windows were dirty. Disabled parking spaces were inadequate as no yellow hatching to open doors wide. 3 spaces should inly have been one. Bushes also in the way. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was more than adequate although plates cold. Overall expensive.
