I cannot say enough positive things about this location and the host! It has amazing views, the breakfast was wonderful, and Fatima and her staff are simply outstanding! The rooms have a great view, and they are big with a comfortable bed. When we go back to the Azores we will definitely be staying here again!

I had a lovely stay at Casa da Cisaltina. Fatima, the owner, made me feel right at home and was very helpful with information about things to do in the area and suggestions! The breakfast was delicious and included her homemade jams. There is a wonderful view out the backyard of the northside of the caldera. Added bonus is the parking on site - a car is definitely necessary in the Povocao area and eastern side of the island.

We loved our stay. The breakfast was delicious and Rafaela and Sandra went above and beyond to make our stay so welcoming.

Breakfast was amazing, with a variety of fresh local fruits, cheese and breads, and very tasty homemade jams. The host, Ms. Fatima, was very helpful with the planning of our activities on the island, and suggested many interesting places to visit. I really hope to visit again someday.

If you’re looking for a place to stay in Sao Miguel, stop looking, you’ve found it! Our stay at Fatima’s was unforgettable. Fatima is the warmest, most generous person you can meet. We had a few hiccups with our rental car and she took care of everything for us, made calls and arrangements, and even offered to bring us to the beach when we didn’t have a ride. She treated us like family and made us feel like we were at home, and it really made our stay special. Mafalda was also great, such a bubbly personality! The rooms were beautiful and sparkling clean, and had small touches like a towel warmer and fresh flowers in the room. The view from our room as well as the breakfast terrace and outside lounging area was amazing, and I can’t say enough about the AMAZING breakfasts the ladies prepared for us every morning. The town Fatima’s place is located in is very tranquil and cute. You’re at a 2 minute drive from the « downtown » area where you can enjoy a beautiful little volcanic sand beach. You’re about an hour from Ponta Delgada, but you’re located in the nicest part of the island, in our opinion. I will be staying here again, for sure. If I could rate this place 6 stars, I would; this was hands down one of the best place I’ve ever stayed at.

We stayed here for 2 days in July -- my only regret is that it wasn't longer! Fatima and Louisa are perfect hosts, extremely attentive, hospitable and making sure that each guest feels absolutely comfortable. The place is extremely tastefully redone, with very sleek and cool design. From the common area and kitchen to the bedrooms, bathrooms, and patios, everything was done with great attention to detail. The hosts prepared an incredible breakfast with self-made jam and cheese, self-baked bread, etc. If available, make sure to get the room with the mountain view. It's a stunning, million-dollar-view, and I'm glad we were able to get it. Overall, the experience felt as good as a 5-star hotel -- at a MUCH more affordable price!

Beautiful house set in a small town. Very gracious hosts provide a beautiful local breakfast. Close to main square able to cook a meal a little trouble finding it but helpful locals pointed us in the right direction.

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre sejour de trois nuits. Hébergement calme, bien situé, beaux espaces pour relaxer sur le site. À quelques minutes en voiture de Povoacao, pour des restaurants. Très bons services clients et conseils pour visiter les environs. On y retournerait sans hésiter!

Nous ne pouvions pas trouver mieux. Cela n'existe pas ! Merci à Fatima , Sandra et Susan qui ont pris soin de nous pendant notre séjour, bien plus que tout ce que nous pouvions espérer.

Fatima un'ottima padrona di casa. Posto tranquillo immerso nella natura. Il giardino è molto curato. Piante aromatiche ovunque che emanano un profumo unico. Un'oasi di pace.

Sejour en famille 2 adultes, 2 enfants. Rien à redire tout était parfait. Le ménage est fait quotidiennement. L’appartement était très bien équipé. Le petit déjeuner est exceptionnel et typique des Açores. Personnel au petit soin et très à l’écoute. Je recommande a 200%.

The place is extremely quiet and the view from my room was beautiful (view on the mountain and on the house's garden). Fatima and her colleagues were so welcoming. The breakfast is so varied (local cheese, ham, fruit and bread, beautiful jams). Perfect for a quiet stay and if you want to enjoy this part of São Miguel. Fatima gave me excellent advice about the area.
