Punta Caliza is the perfect blend of modern & traditional Mexico. The space is tranquil, the breakfast was exciting and filling every morning. Their team are all lovely and super friendly, offering great suggestions and making you feel welcome. You can see there was so much thought put into this hotel and all that it encompasses.

We had an amazing stay at Punta Caliza. The staff are really friendly and welcoming, the pool is stunning and the beach club is amazing (it’s just a 3 min walk down the beach from the hotel and the food and cocktails are excellent). Each room has its own private plunge pool leading onto the main pool and there is a small bar / restaurant (I think the website advertises live music there but we never heard any during our stay). There are a few small things I think could be improved though. Firstly, it would have been great to have more breakfast options (you can have either a local special or an omelette) and the coffee was really disappointing as someone who looks forward to their first coffee of the day! On the first day we were literally served brown water because we were told that the coffee machine wasn’t working and it didn’t get significantly better, to be honest. My boyfriend was told he couldn’t have a cappuccino on every morning of our stay. Also, our room wasn’t cleaned on the first day because the staff didn’t have a spare key. All these things are completely understandable but just not in keeping with the premium feel of the rest of our stay. Lastly, the staff were very helpful in booking us an airport shuttle from Chiquila but unfortunately the company they booked us with (Genesis) does not seem reliable and were apparently unaware of our booking when we arrived. This made our trip to the airport slightly stressful! I’d advise not booking with them.

The hotel was beautiful and well maintained

Fantastic properly just off the main beach. Lovely stuff that go well beyond for the guests. Quiet, but you can easily hear your direct neighbors if they are not very self aware.

The place was great but the staff were what made it. The pool off the room is amazing and private and leads out to the main pool. The beach is a 5-7 min walk away. The food is Delish and breakfast was fab. We will for sure come back! Thanks to Julietta, Max, Irving and the beach club boys! We loved it all!

The friendliness and willingness to help/address any requests was outstanding. The design and amenities in the rooms were lovely as well.

Our stay at Punta Caliza was nothing short of incredible! The staff was so sweet and so attentive. They knew everything about us and were so kind and accommodating. Breakfast was incredible, dinner at the hotel was amazing too (try the fish of the day), and the beach bar was our highlight (get the shrimp tacos and mezcalitas). We will definitely be back, hopefully sooner than later!

Very simple, beautiful property. One of the best breakfast services we've experienced. Breakfast specials are amazing, each morning we look forward to the special of the day. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there.

Loved the place

The room was clean, the staff were great. Our TV didn't work the whole 9 days we were there. Other then that it was great. Beautiful place.

The room is nice, though relatively small. The staff were excellent. The included breakfasts were outstanding and we had dinner in the restaurant once as well the food was excellent. Overall a very good value. Thanks!

Great personal attention

We are so in love with Punta Caliza! Everyone at the the hotel were so kind and wonderful to chat with. The pool, beach club and food were amazing! We can’t wait to return.

Staying at Punta Caliza was an unforgettable experience! The welcome mezcalita, the friendliness and eagerness of Leo, the room, the tower, the food and, of course, the pool! Amazing

Beautiful hotel. Bed super comfortable, walk to the beach and someone is there to greet you with a drink. Breakfast was delicious.

The hotel is Very Unique and architecturally beautiful. The staff was wonderful and very helpful. The restaurant was lovely and the menue although limited is definitely worth trying for dinner and their breakfasts are wonderful and included with your stay. The pool is really cute and their beach iclub s a short 10 minute walk away. That being said I will say the following as a possible warning or heads up to certain groups who may be interested in staying here. The hotel is very small and the little a frame cabins are open air at the top therefore you can hear everything from the cabin next door. Ie when they are going to to the toilet you can hear everything and vice versa. Therefore if you are really modest or perhaps on your honeymoon and want a lot of privacy... This is not the hotel for you Also, it rained for 2 days at the beginning of our stay and while the whole town was submersed in water and the roads basically impassible they all cleared the following day. The two main roads along this corber lot hotel we're still impassible when we left after 8 nights Small golf carts could not get to the hotel and there aren't any side walks to access it. Therefore any one with mobility issues at all or probably anyone who doesn't want to have to cling to trees and use a flashlight etc this probably isn't the hotel for you as it rains a lot here throughout the year. The hotel is really cute and we really enjoyed our stay though.

Punta Caliza is other worldly, a delightful escape from the pace of everyday life. It’s one of those places you don’t really want to tell too many people about, keep it a secret! July, Max, Leo and the entire team were incredibly accommodating prior to and throughout our stay. The room was very comfortable, amazing shower. The highlight is the central pool with private access from each room. Breakfast each morning was unique and tasty. We had dinner a few times at the hotel and enjoyed the entire menu (and the cocktails!) Caliza has its own beach club about 5min walk away, never too busy and great cocktails. We will return again!

Enjoyed the staff super nice more of a chill spot. If you are trying to play music definitely not the place .
