MHL was exactly what we wanted for our first international, family trip. The entrance to the room was private and the room more like an Air BnB with the perk of cleaning services. This made our room feel like home away from home. The location was excellent with easy access to public transportation, a parking garage nearby, delicious cafes and restaurants all around us, and within walking distance to Old Lyon. Our host regularly checked in with us to if we needed anything, including information on local travel when we made a day trip south. We highly recommend staying at MHL and would stay again!

We spent 10 nights at MHL and absolutely loved it! The hosts, Jean Charles, Claire and Julie, are the kindest and most helpful hosts we have ever had. The suite was very comfortable and we slept well in the bed. Having a clothes washing machine was really convenient, and the dishwasher was nice, too. The location was perfect: a few minutes walk to the main metro line, there is a fantastic bakery right next door, as well as an amazing cheese shop and lots of great restaurants. We recommend MHL highly and would definitely go back if we visited Lyon again.

Overall a pleasant stay. The owners tried their best to appear helpful. Clean, furnished apartment with full utilities. However, the so called courtyard was in the vicinity of the kitchen of a restaurant, with staff throwing out garbage into a dumpster which happened to be in the centre of the courtyard. Additionally, noise insulation was suboptimal.

Amazing experience, loved the small apartment/loft. Very nicely decorated. Located in the center of town close to shopping, restaurants and landmarks.

The place is uniquely beautiful. Convenient location. Not too far from the train station, not too far from all the historical sites, close to restaurants and shops.

Apartment was clean, tidy and good size, brilliant location, 1 minute walk from Foch metro station. Jean-Charles was very helpful with suggestions and very friendly. We would be more than happy to stay there again and can recommend it highly

Amazing property with VERY responsive staff. Easy check-in and convenient to all the best spots in Lyon. Lots of markets close by to cook back in the suite while there if you choose. Most on the same block as hotel. Area around hotel is very safe and within 5-10 minute walk of just about everything to see. Restaurant at entrance of hotel is very convenient and decent food. Overall 10/10!

Julie was an outstanding host; eager to make everything about our stay just right, happy to provide information about sights, local amenities and transportation options. Overall we had a great stay at MHL. Location was very convenient to all the attractions of Lyon and to the metro system. The room was clean and well decorated. The host communicated with us multiple times to ensure we had everything we needed. But there was some things that were not exactly as expected. I will admit this was our first trip to Europe, so some of the items listed below may be typical there and we were just unaware. First, there was a washing machine, but no working dryer. The listing does not specifically list a dryer, but there was one there (broken). This forced an unplanned trip to a local laundromat. Next, while we were pleasantly surprised to find two bathrooms (one full and one half (shower & sink)) both only had a hand held shower head on a hose. And both bathrooms had such low ceilings, we had to crouch over to shower. Lastly, there were issues with the lock on the door to the room. After discussing with the host, it was supposed to automatically lock when it closed, but this wasn't happening. We easily got past this by using the key to lock the deadbolt from inside, but the host did not want us to do that as if we mistakenly left the key in the lock on the inside and left the room, they would have to break the window to get in. He came at one point and said it was fixed, but it was not so we continued to use the deadbolt. Not a huge issue for us, just not as expected.

We loved our stay at the Maison Hotel Lyon. It was perfectly located in the city, in a beautiful building. Its central location allowed us to easily explore the city, and the nice amenities of the space meant we could easily make meals ourself and be comfortable in the space when we weren't out enjoying Lyon. It was also very wonderfully run by a kind and helpful staff.

Excellent 13 days stayed in this hotel, wonderful location close to everywhere I wanted to visit. Pretty clean insides the apartment and the color style felt like a warm home. Very friendly welcome check in and helpful communications all along my stay... and definitely I will come back to them if trip again Lyon.

We booked the MHL because the place looked nice, without having much of a detailed understanding of what it actually is. Already before our arrival, Jean-Charles was very active and helpful, and when we finally made it there he was waiting by the gate to welcome us and make sure our arrival was as smooth as possible. Then he took us to what I thought was the hotel's fancy reception and lounge area for quickly taking care of the paperwork. After providing all kinds of useful information about the neighborhood and Lyon in general, Jean-Charles asked what else he can do to help us. My answer was that the only thing remaining is to show where our room is. My response seemed to confuse him a bit. After a couple of seconds he answered: "But this is your room!" And yes, indeed, what a luxurious room! It was just amazing, decorated in really nice taste, with a kitchen and terrace. I'm not that well informed what else one can find in Lyon, but it would greatly surprise me if there were anything better than MHL available - and certainly not for that price. Whenever back in Lyon, we certainly know where to stay from now on.

My husband and I recently stayed at Maison Hotel Lyon and couldn't have been happier with our choice. The location is perfect; close enough to walk to many things, but yet part of a neighborhood with wonderful shops, cafes and restaurants. After a couple of days we felt like locals, and indeed we met someone at a cafe that we saw on the street a few more times and we were greeted like we lived there! This is like having your own apartment in Lyon. One night we simply bought cheese, wine and sausages from around the corner and had own little feast in our happy abode. And the service from Jean-Charles was amazing. He's there to answer every question, no matter how big or small. You do have to be prepared for the ceiling in the loft area where the bed and bathroom are to be a bit low, and the shower head is a hand held one, but we didn't mind. The charm and comfort of the place, the value for money, the service from Jean-Charles and the location were top notch. We would definitely stay there again.

Jean Charles is a charming and attentive host who ensured all our needs were met. The apartment fulfilled my dream of staying in a loft in France.

Our host Jean-Charles was beyond welcoming, accommodating and helpful in every way! The whole experience of staying at Maison Hotel Lyon was like staying at your best friend's. We were visiting for just one day and Jean-Charles gave us a map with the best route and places to visit/eat at in Lyon that fit our time frame - we followed it and it was PERFECT! Apartment itself was very charming and had EVERYTHING that you might need during your stay. And honestly if you happen to miss anything Jean-Charles would make it happen 😉. Sparkling clean, cozy, comfortable bed, awesome shower, AC and incredibly cute courtyard. When we come back to Lyon, this is where we'd stay - except for more than just a day!

The location is central to discover the great city of Lyon. Charming appartment in a courtyard shared by different businesses. Would have liked longer than one night to enjoy the accommodation but caught in Lyon Friday rush hour. Jean Charles kindly let us stay longer in the morning and gave us lots of useful information.
