Chambre, impeccable, personnel, courtois et le style rétro. Ça fait vraiment différent avec la vue sur l’océan pour le prix sérieux c’est très bon.

Staff is incredibly helpful. The rooms don’t have the basic things like iron; sign not to use hair dryer. This is the perfect place to be close to parties on beach zone without paying beach zone hotel prices.

Casa Ambar was a really great hotel. The hotel is centrally located for the restaurants and clubs near the beach. The staff were very nice, breakfast delicious, and my room was large. The only down side is that this hotel is on the jungle side rather than beach side of the road. I would happily stay here again.

Enjoyed my stay. Front desk was very welcoming, rooms are clean. On the way out, they made us a coffee to go . Recommended and will stay again.

great experience. room was very clean and quiet, except for the local wildlife. it's beautiful traditional architecture with a great courtyard. *air conditioning worked! multiple good food varieties in close proximity. the hotel is located in a shopping district i was out walking the streets around midnight and felt perfectly safe. I will stay at this property again.

I absolutely loved staying here. It’s amazingly quiet, in the jungle and the vibes are so on point and not cheesy like a lot of Tulum. And in the middle of everything. I’ve been to Tulum 15 times and this was probably the best.

It is a great hotel while traveling as a couple or with friends. In the heart of the action on Tulum beach.

Got it! Here’s an updated version reflecting that: Review for Hotel Ambar, Tulum Hotel Ambar is a stylish and affordable spot in the heart of Tulum’s hotel zone. While the area is vibrant and loud—especially at night—the rooms themselves offer a peaceful escape with beautiful, well-thought-out décor and lots of character. It’s definitely a fun area with great energy and atmosphere. The location is perfect for exploring the beach and nightlife, and the hosts are incredibly helpful and responsive. A great choice for travelers who want comfort, style, and an unbeatable location.

Casa Ambar is a lovely place to stay with a rustic vibe and lush grounds. The reception is very kind and helpful. Beach is across the street. Cute boutiques and shopping all in the area. Perfect location! Solo female traveler and I felt safe at the property.

This is one of my worst hotel experiences ever! I can't even call this a hotel, it was a step up from camping. While receptionists were very sweet, communication with the hotel wasvery poor communication. They don't answer the phone, and reply sporadically to whatsapp messages. The property ran out of running water multiple times and they offered no solutions. When it did have water, the water pressure was hardly a trickle. Worst of all was the cleanliness. I requested multiple times for my room to be cleaned only for it to not happen until my last day. Worst of all: the bugs situation! I had bugs literally in the bed biting me! I can see them and when I informed the hotel, they offered no solution or recompense. I even just asked if they can changed the sheets (which they should have when the room was cleaned) and they wouldn't! They offered no bug spray, a bug zapper, nothing! Totally unacceptable. I'm reporting this to Expedia.

We booked this hotel for 5 nights but arrived be day late for check in and they gave our room away. No refund. We tried calling them and they never answered their phones. Once we arrived they had no manager on site and they stated they only communicated through wats app. We are extremely disappointed. Lost almost 1k. This is fraud. Extremely dissapointed.

I had a lovely stay at Casa Ambar. I was in town as a solo female traveler for a wedding and felt safe there. Decor was cute and I had a huge balcony. Every morning I walked over to the Good Morning Coffee next door for breakfast and iced coffees. Clean as well. Could hear club music at night but it didn’t play late. Also you can’t run the AC during the day but can at night. No direct beach access or pool though so it helped that I had friends staying nearby with both.

Nice little place tucked in the hotel zone..in a great location.. Nice service from the from desk lady.. Very helpful. An Eco friendly place that uses solar power during the day. AC turns on 9pm-5am...never been to a place that restricts..but I understood the concept.. Nice spot..if they get the ac running all the time will def be back!
