Hotel was convenient and clean. Staff could not have been more helpful. Very convenient for return trip from Calais to Folkestone. Car parking was booked in advance and very secure. Area is ok but not the best . We stayed on a Monday and most eateries were closed. In summary I would stay there again but as a convenient stop off for Le Shuttle. Staff were great!

The hotel was in excellent order. The lounge wasn’t welcoming, nor were the receptionists, apart from one particular gentleman. The breakfast wasn’t v good. The lift only went up one flight after which we had to struggle up two flights of stairs carrying a heavy suitcase… a problem for the elderly. It took three calls to have a faulty light bulb fixed.

This is a rather old fashioned hotel but not without charm or character. The superior room was fine but the shower was designed to flow away and not into the bathroom, which it did not which meant tiled floor was very slippy. The shower robes were very useful on route to jacuzzi and back. The jacuzzi was a lovely free extra. But one thing was very worrying on our last day up and ready to shower and depart the fire alarm went off. This was probably set of by a customer smoking in their room but the staff response was shockingly bad and we, and one French woman, appeared to be the only guests to have evacuated. She used the lift! We came in from outside to be told nonchalantly that it was a false alarm. This was really very worrying if it had been a real fire.

The hotel itself is great, the room comfortable and the parking is extremely useful and secure. However, it's some way from the centre and, at least on a Tuesday, the hotel's restaurant is really the only place within sensible night-time walking distance. The restaurant is fine, but not great, and is significantly overpriced for what it is. I don't object to 70Euros a head, but I do expect the food and wine to be much better for that price.

The room was spacious enough, comfortable and equipped with a kettle and mini-bar fridge. Decor is smart, clean bourgeois. Service at the bar, restaurant and breakfast room was excellent, as was the food in the restaurant. Though quite expensive, it was a memorable evening meal and we were very glad to have had the chance to eat there - worth the price!

Great location especially for the beach. Fantastic restaurant, best food in town I'd say. Breakfast was expensive for a continental buffet. Unfortunately there were no foreign TV channels and the air conditioning was noisy, apart from that a very pleasant stay.

The hotel was clean and adequate, comfy bed, the deco was quite old fashioned and the in room tea and coffee wasn’t the best quality. Spa was small but nice and bathrobes, towels and slippers were all great. Breakfast was good if a little pricey.

Long wait at checkin and the restaurant is not value for money, in fact for what it is, it could only be described as mediocre... example would be the cheese board, 3 1/2 euros extra than dessert (7 in total) for 3 small cheeses of which nothing special could be said of them... all in all a poor experience

Nice traditional, well serviced hotel. Sadly did not have time to make use of the restaurant or facilities. Well located for a stop over when heading to Calais.

The hotel has good sea views, the staff were very helpful. I did not like the price of the breakfast. 17 Euros for a mediocre buffet breakfast is exorbitant. Likewise the hotel bar is prohibitively expensive, which is probably why it was always empty.

Good location on the beach, directly opposite Europe's largest aquarium, but a good 15 minute walk form the town centre in a largely residential area. Tight but secure parking for an extra 35 euros (free on street). Couldn't fault the generous and comfortable room, and great help from the concierge on check-in also. Had made a prior reservation at the restaurant, from a previous experience, hence choosing this hotel to stay at. Went for the degustation menu and the kitchen and chef knocked themselves out delivering superb food, but after initially attentive waiting staff, they simply all disappeared, leaving us and the all the other tables in the main restaurant waiting for nearly an hour, so having not even been asked for coffee or a digestif left sadly disappointed having previously visited and always having experienced exceptional service and food. Allowance made as it was Bastille Day the day before, still good but not great this time.

Awesome location. Stayed for one night but would have stayed longer if we had time. We were in toyon a Sunday and there were only a few places to eat dinner. We ate at the hotel and we were delighted with the quality of food, choices and service
