Breakfast is amazing

Convenient location as it’s right by a bus stop and there is a taco restaurant and OXXO steps away. Playa Chac Mool public access is literally across the street. The room itself was nice and comfortable. The breakfast was just ok. There are daily activities that you can join (we didn’t join any but it would be a nice option for more social people). Deducting a star because while we were there, 2 different people lost belongings (money and phone) in the property. Also after check out if you want to keep your stuff there, they charge $5 for the secure locker. Otherwise you can just leave it inside an unlocked cabinet right by the entrance and hope for the best.

Very nice amenities the staff was very accommodating with the exception of the usual unruly drunken annoying hostel guests from mainly the USA and all points west the Mayan monkey is worth a revisit I’ve been to hostels in the USA where I would never step foot inside of them again

Be aware this is the worst kind of party hostel, fridge filled to the brim and never cleaned out. Unbelievably loud music goes on till midnight. A/c was set to 24 c for the whole room of 12 people and was unbearably hot. I had to sleep with a fan and my curtain open to be able to even remotely sleep. If it wasn’t so late I couldn’t check into another hotel I absolutely would’ve. They try to nickel and dime you for everything. I never received a towel lol. This place was just awful. It is meant to be a place you can work and stay but music is so loud that’s not possible… filled to the brim with people but not kept up with.

This is in a good location - walking distance to the strip and they have it set up to socialize. BUT rooms are small/crowded - the toilet areas and showers are small, there is black mold on the ceilings and walls - they don’t come in and clean enough as the floors are all wet, there’s hair in the showers, etc. the place is old, run down and def a health hazard but if you don’t care too much about that stuff and want a real hostel with people mingling, this is the spot.

Thought this place might be a bit much for me as a solo traveller working remotely and not wanting to party but honestly it has best of both worlds. Loads of events and activities going on but also an incredible working space, lots of places to chill, pretty quiet in the rooms and all the facilities you could need - literally seconds walk from the most exceptional beaches as well! Ideal for any kind of traveller

I checked in around 3pm, was told towels were being cleaned and that they would give me one later. I never received a towel the whole trip, luckily I had my own. It’s after the 3pm when I get to my room and it’s dirty, the bathrooms, one had no toilet paper, the floors were nasty, needed to be swept and mopped. Someone came to clean the room while I was changing to leave out. The staff at the bar and that does the entertainment are amazing which is why I’m giving 3 stars instead of one. The location is convenient which is the only other perk to this place.

I was only there 3 days and it was the best time. The guest and staff amazing. Loved that everything was walking distance and the activities hosted by the hostel were such a great time.

Overall, it’s not a bad place, but I didn’t expect that staying in the mixed dormitory would mean being woken at 4 in the morning by drunk people who felt the need to drag a mattress off the curtained bed and have loud sex in the middle off the room where everyone could see them. Even for a hostel style accommodation in Cancun, that was over the top. Probably wouldn’t stay there again.
