Room was very clean. Staff very polite and professional. Stayed in the 1 bedroom suite. The sofa was a very scratchy material, so that could have been better. The view was fantastic looking out over the entire city, northern facing view. The bathroom was top notch with a large soaker tub.

Celebrated our Son's 16th birthday and spent the night at the JW Marriott! The service at Braven was excellent. The staff were very knowledgable, friendly and accommodating. We had the duck with risotto, truffle fries, pan seared salmon, and the homemade mac & cheese with chicken breast. All were excellent. Our server recommended a couples drink combo which consisted of the following: For him - Maple Old Fashioned: Bearface Triple Oak Canadian whisky, maple syrup, and Angostura bitters. For her - A savory-sweet mix of Ojo de Tigre Mezcal, passion fruit liqueur, blood orange syrup, lime juice, and a black salt rim. It was awesome. The hotel had an amazing gym facility and pool. I easily spent two hours in the gym as there was a variety of activities. Also, the decor was absolutely divine. Gorgeous lighting, and panelling throughout with a big open kitchen where you can see the magic happen. We would definitely stay the night again!

Nice room, central and Braven does an excellent breakfast. Coffee in the room was my only complaint, tries to be fancy but fails. Valet parking in convenient but pricey. Gym was excellent. Didn’t get to check the pool but next time. Highly recommended as one if not the best hotel in Edmonton.

The JW is truly a high-class hotel and we were greatly impressed. The pool area was nice and relaxing (despite having to listen to another guest talking to someone on FaceTime the entire time). Our room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the shower was spectacular (I’m a sucker for good water pressure!) We had drinks and appetizers at Alchemy, which was amazing! The food tasted great (especially the poutine), the drinks were excellent and the atmosphere was a vibe. We did have breakfast at Braven, and although the restaurant and staff were nice, the food was alright. Self-parking was slightly confusing at first and a bit difficult to find, but once we figured it out, it was pretty straightforward. Once we parked our vehicle, we didn’t need to use it because the location is super convenient and we were able to walk almost anywhere. If you are looking for a place to stay downtown, I would highly recommend staying at the JW!

This is a nice hotel, and if you’re there to watch the Oilers you can’t beat the location, but I don’t see how they can justify charging close to $400/night in downtown Edmonton. The service in the lounge was below avg, rooms are nice, but not special, and $65/night for valet is Ritz Carlton pricing, not Marriot. I’ll likely stay elsewhere next time.
