The exterior boat drop off needs major improvements. Breakfast was OKAY but could use some hot foods.

Great hotel and located in a great area!

Great location, outstanding breakfast, charming hotel. But the AC was not enabled in April and the room temp was well over 80 F. It made it hard to sleep, even with the windows open.

Clean , friendly staff , very close to train and bus station

We had a wonderful stay at the Gardena Hotel in Venice. The location of the hotel was perfect, as it was a short easy walk from the train station (no need for a water taxi). From the moment we arrived, we were greeted warmly. Our room was upgraded to a room with a view of the canal and available upon an early check-in, which allowed us to begin our sightseeing right away! This hotel is a little gem! The lobby and public areas are beautifully decorated. The room was spacious, decorated perfectly for Venice and immaculate with a beautiful marble bathroom and lots of lovely toiletries. My only "criticism" would be that there is carpeting in the bedroom. If you don't mind that, it's 5 stars all the way! A delicious breakfast buffet is included with the room which was another nice perk to staying here! Grazie Mille to the wonderful and professional staff Hotel Gardena! Friendly staff

Convenient location for a very late arrival to Venice on a rainy night. Room nice, clean and warm, comfortable bed, good bathroom. Staff helpful and efficient. Good breakfast served in a pleasant breakfast room.

Great location

Great stay! Reasonable price for the staying in the island with complementary breakfast. Climbing over the bridge with a big luggage from the train station was challenging, but I was glad it’s only one bridge I needed to cross to get to the hotel.

Very comfortable and tidy. Location is perfect. Friendly staff. In our opinion is lovely decorated.

Nice hotel with canal view. Room was large and decorated well. Balcony wasn't really a balcony but a window that opened with a canal view. It was quiet at night and we slept well

Great location, quiet. Close to Grand Canal, transportation, restaurants. Laura the concierge was so helpful. I’d give them 10 stars if I could.

The hallway and room had a strong smell of mist and cigarettes. I slept with the windows open but the smell was so strong I couldn’t wait to check out.

Great place to stay. Clean and convenient if you come in by train. Very short walk from train allowing you to dump off your stuff and enjoy walking Venice unencumbered. Breakfast had a lot of options but nothing hot. Was a good base to start the day.

The Gardena Hotel lived up to its promise of having a great location convenient to the Piazzale Roma, but also to the water taxi to quickly get to other areas of Venice. The staff was excellent - responsive and attentive - and our room was well-sized and very comfortable. I'd 100 percent recommend this property to others! Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Location was perfect with the surrounding quite area. Access to the train station was perfect.

Central location from train station and water buses. Restaurants not far to walk and the hotel fronts a canal. Wonderful hotel with breakfast included. The room was small and the mattress was very hard. They need to put curtains that cover the whole window. Only disappointed with the shower water pressure otherwise the bathroom was modern and spacious. Our view was a brick wall however a canal view would have made our staff better. Overall, 2* hotel was perfect for the short stay.

Overall, it's a good hotel, conveniently located near the people mover. The staff were great, the room was clean and the breakfast was fantastic. The internet was flakey at times and would go out entirely sometimes but otherwise it was a great stay.
