Just on edge of old town pedestrian area. Friendly staff, some noise from the street but not too bad. Rooms are basic and not much storage but restaurants, shops and supermarkets very close by. Recommended.

Room is very clean, somewhat dated and worn but cleanliness and staff friendliness in Continental breakfast definitely made up for any insufficient inefficiencies

The staff were all very helpful and I didn't have a problem with noise from the street. Even though the rooms are small and basic, it was clean and safe and in a great location!

Modest, clean, and well located. Staff was very helpful and the breakfast was simple but lovely. Reviews mentioning the size of the bathrooms were very much true. I’m on the small side and usually don’t have an issue but it was tight. If I were a heavier person I would’ve had issues accessing the toilet.

I booked Hotel San Giorgio for my parents during their stay in Bologna, and it turned out to be an excellent choice. The reception was warm and welcoming, and the staff went out of their way to make everything smooth. The hotel itself has been recently renovated, which gives it a fresh and comfortable feel, and the location is central—close to everything worth seeing in the city. Breakfast was simple but very good, with quality coffee and croissants. The staff were helpful throughout the stay, not only allowing my parents to keep their luggage at the hotel until the evening but also arranging a taxi and giving them clear directions around the city. These small details made a big difference. Bologna itself is lively, full of students, friendly people, and an international atmosphere. There is no shortage of places to eat and plenty to explore within walking distance. For anyone visiting Bologna, I can recommend Hotel San Giorgio without hesitation—it is one of the best options in the city, both for comfort and for service.

Small rooms and even smaller bathroom but clean, light, and good air con. Location excellent for the central city and the university. Staff friendly and helpful. I’d happily stay again!

Excellent location, clean room!!

Very walkable hotel in the old town of Bologna. We stayed here for its ease of walking to the train station. It is nice to be able to leave your key with the staff and pick it up after adventuring.

The property was excellent, clean, easily accessible and the front desk was manned 24/7. The staff was awesome. They have a free morning breakfast... coffee, cappuccino and pastries.

Room was quite small & narrow but immaculately clean. Partial view of the towers from my 4th floor window. Guys on the desk very helpful. Walking distance (15 minutes) from train station and less than 10 minutes to most things you want to see. Cappuccino & big croissant was a nice touch for breakfast. And they let me have it early before my train. Perfect for my 2 night stay.

This is the 2nd time I have stayed at San Giorgio, very friendly staff, very helpful. The hotel is in the middle of everything, so many restaurants to choose from. A lot of stores for shopping. A good location for walkablity to a lot places.

Very helpful friendly staff and great location

I got everything I needed, and nothing that I didn’t need. The hotel is very conveniently located, an easy walk to the railway station and even easier to all city center attractions. Staff was very friendly and helpful and the hotel seemed clean and well maintained. Now, the single bed room was indeed tiny. The TV tiny and the desk tiny and the shower tiniest. But ok, I didn’t really need any more space for sleeping so it was all good with me.
