Atami Kinjokan’s city-view rooms would be pleasant under better circumstances, yet we ran into an issue where water dripped from the ceiling air conditioner on our second night. The hotel staff responded promptly to fix the problem, but it still left us disappointed with the building’s aging facilities.
The dinner buffet includes free-flow drinks, though the food selection itself is fairly basic and left us with limited appealing options to choose from.
That said, considering the price point, the hotel provides exclusive viewing space for the summer fireworks festival plus private onsen access, which easily makes up for these minor drawbacks.

We booked a city-view room at Atami Kinjokan, and water leaked from the ceiling AC unit on our second night. Staff sorted it out quickly, but the faulty facility was still a letdown. The dinner comes with free-flow drinks, yet the food spread is quite plain with little variety. Still, exclusive fireworks viewing spots and hot spring access at this price make the downsides easy to overlook.
