Beautiful location, beautiful view!

The palace is incredible and has kept the original ceiling painting and furnishings seem totally authentic. There is endless space to enjoy around the palace. Breakfast was ok our first day but very poor the second. No cheese, no bacon, when we arrived 45 minutes after opening. Ice cold scrambled eggs like they had come out of a fridge. Amazing location and amazing staff.

We have travelled the world and this is the most spectacular and gracious welcoming hotel and staff and owners we have ever experienced! It is a true palace with authentically furnished common areas authentically furniture and original pieces of art galore! Breakfast was excellent and the roof terrace overlooks the sass is of Matera.

This is an incredible property in an incredible location. The art and space like out of a film set. We felt like we were the only people in this remarkable palazzo. Some of the furniture a bit worn but who cares given the setting. Highly recommend. And get a room with a view, totally worth it.

Located in old town and had parking for my car. They were very helpful at check in. The room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was great.

This Palazzo is a gem, a wonderful find in a great city. Know that you will be dropped off with a short walk to the entrance. The staff were GREAT, so helpful. The breakfast was standard fare - but well done and in a opulent setting. The artwork throughout the hotel makes you feel like you are staying in a gallery, and the views from the terrace (day and night) are worth the stay.

What a fantastic hotel right in the centre of matera. The rooms were wonderful and the staff very helpful. A word to drivers getting tit he hotel can be a little stressful as the roads are very narrow and confusing. The restricted zone signage is the worst but ignore it as the hotel sorts the issue out with local police.

Excellent location. Excellent and very helpful staff. I would have hope that the roof terrace had a bar with happy hour to enjoy the view of the marvelous city. Very good breakfast Parking was a plus.

I love this hotel !!!

Very unique to be staying in an ancient cave dwelling. Modern appointments were very comfortable. The space was large and luxurious. I would not recommend getting a room here with a jacuzzi. The water made to room very humid. The tub water was not hot enough to enjoy. The circulation system was noisy and could not be turned off - it was on a timer. The tub and water smelled bad. Instead choose a room without a pool or a jacuzzi tub. Soaker tubs are much nicer.
