Indonesia is mind boggling. Temples, monkeys, zippy scooter people, lots of green and very kind people. This Villa Resort was beautiful. Makes you wonder how long all the lush greenery has been growing. We were in the single floor Honeymoon Villa. Lots of space, comfy bed, private pool and backyard space. I can't recommend it enough. Our rate included breakfast daily and it was quite satisfying and tasty. ALL of the workers were wonderful especially Amanda. I can also recommend tours with Bli Kanek. He took us to the monkey forest one day and toured all around Ubud the next and then took us to our next place in Seminyak. What a lovely 5 nights we had.

Immaculately kept gardens, nice villas and great pool.

Amanda was amazing! She got some minor room issues fixed immediately. The rest of the staff was very friendly! The resort was very beautiful. The room had some issues and could use some TLC.

We had a fantastic stay, the staff were just amazing! Perfect location to explore Ubud on foot, beautiful garden and pool area. We absolutely loved it! All the staff were so lovely and helpful! Thank you so much for having us, we will be back.

Nice staff, big room with nice balcony. Breakfast fine. Annoying sharp small step into bathroom, almost broke my toes twice. Small lizards in room and large ones on the balcony, perhaps to be expected on the edge of the jungle. Hot water available most of the time. Mineral water chiller/heater in room was great. As with most of Ubud, the road is slightly perilous for walking - no space for pedestrians, open drainage ditches and limited lighting. Sign outside is not obvious and easily missed.

Alas Petulu was a great little hotel to stay in. Super friendly and helpful staff. Located on a small road off the main street of Ubud - so it's peaceful and quiet, yet very accessible to the town centre. Housekeeping services daily, and the rooms are kept very clean. Nice pools, and good breakfasts every morning too!

we loved the swimming pool area and the greenery, it was so quite and private that it didn't feel like nit was few minutes to Ubud centre. Great experience overall.

Room wasn't properly prepared when we were granted access ( Used towels left hanging in bathroom - and who knows what else? ). Our room (family room) looking a bit worn, though does look to be one of the earlier structures. Noisy dogs barking at night. Restraunt only open for breakfast but breakfast is OK. Great pool and landscaping. 10 min' walk to town. Great drinking water unit in room, every place should have one. Staff friendly. Overall a good experience but tainted by questionable room prep'.

Amazing, magic place to stay in Bali, very frendly and helpfull staf, quiet location perfect to have a rest and feel Balineese climat, also very close to Main Street with restaurant and shops, highly recomended for families or couples

One of the best places I’ve stayed in with my two sons. They had their own room, our room on top floor with balcony and amazing view of the gorgeous gardens. The pools were amazing! Made extra special by the wonderful staff.

Very disappointing.... I stayed there twice previously and had an urgent matter come up and they refused to make any changes or cancellations. They continued to send annoying messages asking me about arranging pricey transport. After I didn't show up, they continued to send me messages about my stay. It's like they have no attention to the customer whatsover and don't value return customers. I won't be back.

We are in or fifty’s and stayed 7 days we like to walk all the time we are here, the hotel is at one end of town so on your travels you can take in plenty of the town and shopping, we came to unwind and that’s exactly what we got from hotel staff and the pool very rewarding and will return next year

Nice place to stay with easy walk to downtown. The rooms were a good size. The furniture is dated. The breakfast was good and sizeable. The staff was friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, and it is not the fault of the owners/staff, the local roosters next door are ridiculous and woke my wife and I up every day very early- and they would not stop!!! For this reason alone I would be hesitant to stay here again. The walk to town can be tricky. There are only short distances that have sidewalks down the road you must walk to get downtown and the traffic can be significant at times and this can make you feel a little unsafe sometimes- you just have exercise caution. I never felt unsafe from anything in 2 weeks of vacation in Bali except for walking along this road at night simply due to the traffic sharing the road with you.

Very nice and quiet during the day, great pool area and lovely rooms. Great air con. Quite loud at night with dogs barking but that is nothing the hotel can do about.

Lovely hotel only a short 10 min walk to main Ubud town, beautiful gardens and pools, comfortable beds and spacious room.

Very good accommodation in location not far from Ubud centre. Owners helpful and friendly. Pool great, rooms very good and hotel gardens nice. Breakfast was good with 3 options offered. Stayed in family room which had some stairs which may not be suitable for really young kids and neighbours dog barking annoying in early hours Would stay again.

Balinese hospitality shines through at this wonderful boutique hotel. I think there are 9 rooms, sort of "villa" style. Our room was immaculate! also spacious with a lovely view of the grounds. We had the one bedroom suite with the balcony. A la carte Breakfast daily was included and very good. Easy walk of a few "blocks" into town, although the road has no sidewalk so you have to watch out for the motorbikes. There were a few miscues with housekeeping (bath and hand towels first day, no hand towels second day, only hand towels 3rd day) but these were quickly resolved. The staff is gracious and friendly. Highly recommend!
