The bed was comfortable. Cleanliness? No dust, so we're okay. Room amenities? Hairdryer was okay, iron was okay, TV was okay, hot water was okay. The shower hose came off, so we were afraid people would think it was us, and the shower faucet was leaking and spraying. At checkout, the front desk told us to wait (at least 10 minutes) because they wanted to check the room first, in case we left anything behind. After a minute, they informed us that nothing was left behind, that checkout was clear, and we were allowed to go home.
When we got home, we looked for facial wash and shampoo but couldn't find them. Finally, we remembered we'd left them in the shower. The customer's fault for being careless and leaving them behind. True. Our negligence, having missed the final check before leaving the room.
But at checkout, I was told to wait while they checked the room to see if I'd left anything behind, and they ALREADY confirmed nothing was left behind. So we left.
So what did the checker do at that point? Which areas were checked?
And if I came back and asked for the shampoo and facial wash, would they still be there or would they have already become the property of the person who found them?
