A homestay "one step" from Tugu Station and "one inch" from Malioboro
Get off the morning train from Jakarta at Tugu Station in the late afternoon and check in straight away at Hotel Andrea without having to worry about finding transportation. Just cross the street to enter Gg. 2. Drop off your things, clean up, and rest a bit, then you're ready to explore Malioboro in the evening.
Ambience/Amenities: The homestay is quiet in an alley; even motorbikes have to be turned off before passing. There's a terrace for chatting or interacting with other guests or local residents passing by.
Food: The hotel doesn't seem to serve food, only bottled drinks in the front lobby. But don't worry, there are plenty of food and drink vendors nearby.
Staff Assistance: The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful, both the lady and the foreigner (?) who speaks fluent Indonesian and Javanese. We haven't gotten to know each other's names yet.
Highlights: For those looking for a cheap, clean place to stay, close to Tugu Station and Malioboro.
Price: For the price, it's very reasonable.
Location: Just a stone's throw from Tugu Station and an inch from Malioboro.
