We've stayed here several times in the past two months. Overall, it's good, especially the ample breakfast and the 24-hour coffee and tea available in the restaurant. The only downside is that the sheets, pillowcases, and towels are worn and lack fragrance.

Salty water… the mattress is a bit dirty… a hotel like Cititel should be better… The location is in the middle of the city… close to everywhere… Maybe the water problem can be fixed… or maybe not all rooms have salty water… because I have stayed there before and the water was safe.

Sorry, the room is dirty and smelly, the bathroom is dirty, I stayed here in 2020 and it was still good, now in 2026 I came back and it turns out there was no maintenance at all. The pillows smell of cigarettes, my husband and I did book a smoking room, but when we first moved in we checked the pillows and sheets too (they had stains). It looks like they need more maintenance. Thank you.

Highly not recommended. I booked a non-smoking room, but was given a room that reeked of cigarette smoke. The hotel is filthy, very disappointing.

Sorry, I'm giving you an unsatisfactory rating. I was given a room that hadn't been cleaned. The sheets and pillowcases hadn't been changed. The bathroom was flooded. The air conditioning was broken, even though there were other rooms ready, cleaned, and with good facilities. Only after I complained did the staff move me to a more suitable room. Hopefully, they'll pay more attention in the future.

The hotel is right next to the ferry ticket counter to Malacca, so there's no need to rush in the morning. I absolutely love the breakfast at this hotel; it's comprehensive and delicious, to my taste buds as a West Sumatran.
