The fort environment still maintains its old form so it looks unkempt ... but that's part of the architectural art. Maybe a little input on the lighting problem. Terlihat kurang terawat, dalam kamar banyak sarang laba laba dilangit langit, pintu toilet/WC tidak presisi dan susah untuk dikunci di kamar 306, perabotan kayu banyak yang keropos, AC tidak bisa swing. Plus nya air jernih dingin menyegarkan (tidak ada warer heater), ada teras dengan kursi dan meja buat ngobrol di depan kamar, sarapannya sederhana dalam kotak sterofoam tapi lumayan enak. Recommended untuk yang darurat dalam perjalanan butuh istirahat.

Hotelnya sepi yang berada di dalam kawasan sejarah benteng Van Der Wijck yang didirikan 1880, dimana benteng ini info dari orang sekitar ada bekas penjara, selebihnya bisa search di google. Untuk daya tarik foto di aplikasi seperti mobil kereta, taman bermain dan kolam renang dengan perosotan itu buka hanya saat hari raya idul fitri (info dari warga sekitar). Kemarin pesen 2 kamar deluxe yang berhadapan dengan bentengnya, pas saat datang sebelah kamar saya ada penghuni juga baru datang dan masih duduk-duduk di teras luar. Setelah kami berberes ngeluarin barang dari mobil. Ternyata tamu sebelah sudah tidak ada (mungkin kabur). Waktu sudah menjelang maghrib suasana juga sudah mulai uka-uka. Ga pakai lama tas-tas pakaian akhirnya kami masukan ke mobil lagi dan kabur juga. Siapa yang mau uji nyali bermalam di hotel ini. Maaf ya pengelola Hotel: mungkin sarannya untuk memperbanyak penerangan dan kamar deluxe pindah ke tengah atau buka kamar jngn sampai ke area benteng. Lalu di buat pos jaga yang standby 2-3 orang kongkow di situ jadi customer merasa tenang.

Stay at this Van Der Wijck Tourism Hotel, including a quiet hotel. Far from the crowds of the main road south of Gombong. Because going inside about 1 km. There is also a single building which might be crowded if there is enlisted education. View of the hotel gate there is a stretch of rice fields that are pleasing to the eye. Still beautiful. Minus, cleanliness needs attention. There are still cobwebs and scratches on the floor. Understandably old furniture. Tube TV is there, STB is not there. So it is not suitable for all day in the room. Mite-free old mattresses. cold AC. The bathroom is a bit old, you know, it's a historic building. Breakfast okay. Enter this hotel follow the signs available on the street. If you follow Google, it doesn't fit the entrance to the hotel.

At check-in, there were no other guests, only our group (6 people). Entering this area in the middle of the night really tests your guts. But it's enough to make you curious and want to come again. Unfortunately there is no water heater.

Lebih cocok dibilang penginapan, bukan hotel, menurut saya untuk harga 290 per kamar terlalu mahal jika dibandingkan dengan fasilitas yang diberikan. TV rusak di kedua kamar, resepsionis tidak ada. Jika malam sangat gelap, dan keluarga kami hanya satu-satu nya yang menginap. Free sarapan pagi bubur ayam. Dispenser kotor. Semoga bisa menjadi perbaikan.

Initially I was horror because I arrived late at night and entered the tourist site of the fort. Van der wick. Very quiet. Only my family and I stayed in a row of family rooms that looked like army barracks, the room conditions were pretty decent. AC cold. There is a mini dispenser. and there are 2 bathrooms. but there is no hot water. But it felt special because towards New Years Eve the fort was closed to the public. Only us as a family are free to enjoy the swimming pool facilities and can take pictures to your heart's content, an unforgettable experience.

Check in at 9 pm the front position of the entrance gate is dark and it closes when it's raining heavily thought the hotel is not open.
