The property is lovely and the rooms really nice. It was easy to get in and out of the property and the parking was convenient. Front desk staff was cordial and very thorough, since the restaurant was open the public, we appreciated that the floors of the hotel were only accessible by those with hotel room keys/cards.

We stay here every time we have tickets to The Grand. Its always clean and staff is great. Dont go to the onsite restaurant unless you like food that's foo foo. No salt or pepper on table. There was no bread or rolls with dinner. No potatoes on menu either.

Multiple homeless people hanging out in shopping area was the worse part. Other than that we enjoyed our sty.

It is no fault of the hotel but the city of Wausau owns all Parking lots near the hotel. If you have had a long day traveling the last thing you really want to do is mess around with a parking lot kiosk. The hotel gives you a free code to use but after finding out the family had limited dining options after 9 pm was too much. The hotel is in a convenient location but the rooms are a bit dated and the pillows force a weird angle on your head. It is an average hotel and will suffice for a quick stay. The staff was helpful and caring.

I like the location to The Grand. But, for the money, it’s too expensive. For starters, they don’t offer breakfast anymore with the room-you have to pay for it and I don’t think a piece of toast and a bowl of fruit is worth $12, you can hear the neighbors above and the sides (especially if they have kids), and the television looses all channels signal when it snows or rains. And, some of the front desk staff do not have welcoming attitudes/customer service skills. I was looking for the cup of coffee in the lobby and the receptionist stated she didn’t know when it was last made, and didn’t offer making fresh. Again, for the price I paid, not worth it. The only good thing about this hotel is its location to The Grand Theater and other events.

It has a great location for the 400 block and to see a show at The Grand. But, it doesn’t have very many options for food or for regular supplies. It does not offer a breakfast with the room anymore, and for the price of the room it should.

Right in the heart of downtown Wausau and is attached to shops and an old office building that was converted to a shopping center. Beautiful downtown stores and many are within walking distance of the hotel.
