In general it is not at the Hyatt standard you would think of or experienced. Staff are nice enough but not at the Hyatt level you would expect in terms of professionalism and offerings. What shocked me is that none of the USB outlets in the room worked. It created a lot of hassle when I wanted to charge my electronic items from the U.S. In addition, when I asked if the lunch could be charged to my room since my WeChat pay could be set a limit since it is registered abroad, the lady tried but the system didn't allow her to do so because that I chose to pay at the hotel instead of pay with the booking platform or paid deposit. I just feel that my credibility was doubted. It could be just Hyatt Changchun's operation policy, but was really surprised. Then the checkout date, the lady said everything was charged and I was OK to go. I just wondered a little how they did it when I chose the method to pay at the hotel at check-out, but glad it was taken care. However the next day, I got a phone call saying that they only charged one room instead of two and the card was denied. They asked me to go back to the hotel to make the payment when I left Changchun already! It was a really weird experience with Hyatt. I had to ask my friend to help the next day, but then found out the 2nd room was charged. The whole experience was pretty disappointing and way below the normal expectations I have for Hyatt.

Very luxurious hotel. The service is excellent. Breakfast buffet is okay; the room service breakfast is a much better deal. The wake up call I had asked for did not occur. When I complained to the front desk, I was assured that the manager would investigate. I didn’t hear any updates though.

I must say, it is my favorite lodging in Changchun. Compared to the shangri-la I prefer both the rooms and the quieter atmosphere. It is closer to the nightlife area of guilin. On the other hand for a Hyatt as well as the most expensive hotel in the city, I'd say they do the typical 90% is good enough. Focusing on the little things is important, but focusing on the unimportant things is far too little in this case. The staff is genuine and friendly. I stayed on the club level and while I was greeted with smiles I felt as if I was being watched and didn't belong. More than once, over attentive staff followed me around as I went from area to area making me feel as if they were concerned for the silverware in the lounge. Relax Hyatt staff, if I need something. I'll ask. If not, leave me to my own devices. Check in was fine. I was a bit early 1230pm so I waited in the lounge for my room to be prepped. Other than that check in was smooth enough. My room was prepaid, I think asking me to pay more than the room cost for a deposit was a bit rediculous but when I mentioned it, she lowered it by half without hesitation. The room was nice, real nice actually. Beds are comfy. But the ac on all 3 of my stays just won't go low. It's almost like a swamp cooler not an ac unit. I wasn't exactly hot, but I certainly wasn't comfortable either. Room service leaves much to be desired. In this area, they are indeed prompt. Wrong food, the food they did bring just simply isn't up to hyatt standard.

Like the room, very clean, nice view. Location is convenient, easy to get around. Disappointing staff and service. Staff has bad manner and some are rude. When asked, the staff lack of response.

This hotel is brand new. It was very clean and the room was quite large. The restaurant in the hotel was fantastic. I would definitely stay here again next time I return to Changchun.

It's a brand new hotel, opened in 2016. The room was large and a typical Hyatt room, a bit sterile. Service was excellent. And the breakfast buffet was great. The hotel is located outside the city center and next to a park. Didn't see any interesting restaurants nearby.
