I love the experience I had with Guesthouse Bon. The owner is one of the kindest people I know, and he helps us a lot. There are some things you should know about this guesthouse:- The location is quite far from the center, so you must take the train, several bus stops later, and walk about 300-400m to reach the guesthouse. But the positive thing is you have a lot of interesting shops and streets around this guesthouse to walk on, eat, and buy something. It gives us the spirit of an old town, not too crowded. One more positive thing about the location is that this guesthouse is close to a group of pagodas/temples. It is worth spending time visiting. The owner guides us to one of them to try matcha and buy the matcha powder.- This is a kind of Ryokan house, so if you see some of the old houses in Japan on film, it is it.- Because of the old style, the sound isolation in this house is not good, so don't make some big noise after 10-11 pm.- The common room is comfortable, and we even sat in the room and resolved some of our work at night.- The owner is friendly and helpful, so he introduced some great local tips to us. It helps.- The room is clean, and with the big windows, we love it.
