What a gem! Andrew and Charmaine are wonderful hosts, so friendly, and helpful with tips about restaurants in the area, and more. The guesthouse is wonderful. The furnishings, fixtures and fittings are modern and functional. The bed was comfy. The room amenities included a safe, small fridge, AC, TV and coffee/tea station. The bathroom was well appointed. The toiletries are top class. Breakfast (cooked to order) was delicious. All in all, a great experience. Easy to recommend. Thanks guys!

Great stay

I only stayed for a night but I felt very welcome. Waterstone's manager arranged for an early check-in and was extremely helpful throughout my stay. The facilities are modern, clean and convenient to Somerset West and Stellenbosch.

The hospitality at the Waterstone is top notch. We were greeted by Charmaine, who got us settled and made sure everything was taken care of on our arrival. The next morning we had breakfast out in the garden and pool area. Everything was fresh and delicious, in beautiful surroundings. Load shedding hit during breakfast hours, but Charmaine managed to keep the kitchen running and no one went without hot coffee or toast! Definitely a well run operation. I would recommend the Waterstone for a great stay in Somerset West.

Andrew is a fabulous host and couldn't do enough for us to ensure that we had a great stay. The lodge is comfortable, with many amenities offered to us so we didn't have to sit around in our rooms. The breakfast and the cappuccinos - excellent!

Very well appointed Lodge. Room was beautiful and very clean. The location was perfect for us. The host very friendly. The only aspect that needs improvement is the breakfast quality. Only bread for toast is offered. Cold meats and cheese were not very good. One other aspect I would like to point out is that the offer for marmalade was not good. Only one of the three offered was good. The other two were not. Their smell wasn’t good.

Exceptional facility. There is attention down to the smallest detail. The Lodge is located in a beautiful area of West Somerset. It is quiet and peaceful. The staff are outstanding.

What a beautiful place, comfortable bed clean room, awesome hospitality and advice on the local attractions, restaurants and wine farms. Fantastic fresh delicious breakfast cooked to perfection. What a spectacular stay even though it was just over night 10 out 10

Great stay amazing lodge and hosts.

Host very friendly and accommodating

We booked out three rooms. Each was thoughtfully decorated, well appointed. And exceptionally clean. The grounds of the property are welcoming and relaxing with a nice pool and lovely garden. Breakfast was delicious. Most of all our host Andrew and his team did everything to make our visit a five star experience. Would definitely come back.

We really had amazing time. Andrew and Philip were both really great hosts and made the weekend special for my partner's special day. Will definitely be back again :)

This is a beautiful house with excellent facilities. Andrew is a great host and appears to run everything single handedly. The room was immaculate, breakfast cooked by Andrew was perfect. If you're in this area, take the opportunity to stay here. There is an excellent restaurant across the road which has fabulous food. Thoroughly recommended.
