For a one night stay it was great, loved to be able to walk to restaurants and enjoy our might

Self check-in instructions were communicated in advance and easy to follow. Rooms were basic, but very clean and adequate for our needs. It was nice to have access to the kitchen and laundry. WiFi worked well. There is an easy but somewhat steep hike to a lovely waterfall right behind the property. Our only "complaint" was that the cruise ship port was directly across the street. Instead of being able to listen to sounds of nature like birds and rain, we heard the ship running all night and the captain's announcements in the morning. It's just a minor complaint and the Guesthouse has no control over it, but I feel it's worth mentioning. Obviously it wouldn't be an issue on days when there's no ship in the port.

cute place but the walls are very thin and you can hear the neighboring room activities very loud. bring ear plugs.

It is a guesthouse so our expectations were tempered but the owner did nothing to quiet the extremely rowdy guests. We asked them to be quiet and they ignored us around 1030-11 so at 11 I messaged the owner asking him to talk to them. He didn’t respond for over an hour and it wasn’t until I banged on the wall and yelled loudly that the group was quiet. It felt a bit unsafe asking a room full of drunk people to please quiet down late at night and for that reason the review is low. The owner lives in the house and everywhere else I have ever stayed has quiet after 10 rules that they actually enforce. Kitchen was well equipped I guess so that was a positive.

12 miles from big town, picturesque drive through mountain pass to cute little town by the sea. Nice waterfall hiking trail near hotel, really enjoyed the town. Nice kitchen.

We had a pleasant stay here. Very clean, comfortable and quiet and a large very well equipped bathrooms. What else to wish for? I can highly recommend this accommodation!

Free coffee!

Easy check in, very helpful and friendly staff. Great kitchen for cooking, coffee maker for expressos and latte, microwave, oven, big fridge. Standard room with twin beds. Warm and comfortable. Limited food options on Sundays and after "summer" season as Seydisfj. is over the mountains on the coast. We were here at the end of September and the road in was a bit icy and there are switchbacks so travel to here in winter feels very challenging. Beautiful town, cute houses. Hotel is located at the edge of town near the ferry terminal. Town is easy to walk to from here.

surprised by the view of the waterfall from our room. The only place where we stayed that provided free coffee. Which was great. As coffee is very expensive to buy outside in Iceland even when they also use a similar machine. I also really liked the shampoo and shower gel they had in the bathroom. The other guests were quiet and cleaning the kitchen really diligently.

A comfortable place. With a roomy private bathroom and a nice big kitchen. It’s a nice all into the main part of town

Would stay again. Love the amenities of the communal kitchen. Very clean and well kept by staff and customers. Love the use of washer and dryer. Walkable. Room and bathroom were clean and comfy. Staff was very helpful.

Very clean , convenient to the shopping area

This guesthouse was perfect for our one-night stay in this cozy village. While simple, it had everything we needed. The shared bathroom was clean with a nice large shower. The room was fully stocked with towels, robes, sheets, pillows, and everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Coffee and tea was available in the communal kitchen and it was a very short walk to the main part of town.

It was great location and able to was clothes which was a big plus ( however dryer didn’t seem to be working right as it never completely dried my clothes after 2 hours). My biggest complaint was that it was pretty noisy in morning hearing all the doors slam shut when people left their rooms

Beautiful surroundings

A simple clean comfortable place to stay. You can prepare your own meals and the facility allows you to do that very well.
