My sister and I went to Croatia to visit our family where our roots are from and did some travelling as well down the coast. When we left our grandparents’ villages, we headed to Split, and then took a ferry to the island of Hvar. We found a room at the Hotel Teranea just about 1.5km from the old city of Hvar. As soon as we arrived at the hotel, we were greeted by the hotel manager Branko. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed almost like family. We checked in with ZERO issues, and he showed us to our room. The room was better than expected. I asked him for recommendations and he gave me his card and asked me to just send him a quick text on WhatsApp. Branko replied super fast, with some beach recommendations, as well as recommendations for dinner and shopping. Let me tell you, this man was a better than a gem in everything, including his recommendations. We went to a beach that seemed like it was a hidden spot, including a bay, with pristine waters and low amount of people. Later, we went to the first recommendation on the list which was Restaurant Mediterraneo in the heart of the old city, oh man, what a recommendation! The food was better than A1!! We had breakfast the next morning, which was beautiful, fresh, and very tasty. We said our goodbyes, and got a very heartfelt hug from both Branko and the woman who was also staff. I am DEFINITELY, 110% going to be bringing my wife and kids back there again. Hvala Liepo Branko!! (Thank you very much Branko!)

Hotel was brand new and very nice. Hotel manager was very accomodating. Highly recommend. Longer walk from town center

The owner here, Branco, is a great guy and very helpful. The only problem is that the property is about a mile or so from the Hvar Old Town so you either have to rent a car or walk the whole distance, which isn't terribly safe. The hotel has two small swimming pools but nothing was entirely open when I stayed there in late April. Apparently, things really heat up during the summer where I imagine there are more things to do.

The owner was amazing. He was very helpful and gave good advice. The room was big with a great balcony. If you plan to walk from the ferry, there are a lot of stairs to get to the hotel. There is an option to take a cab. Once there, the views are impressive. There is a nice beach a walk from the hotel.

The check in process was very smooth and we were able to check in early. Staff were friendly and helpful. There is no lift, but the staff carried heavy bags up to the room. A very modern, tidy and well maintained room.

Really nice place to stay. Very polite and accommodating. About a 10-15 minute walk from the town which is fine, just a little tricky (slippery) if it rains. Breakfast was great, the rooms look brand new and beds are comfortable.

The reception staff Nina and Bronco were exceptionally good to us throughout our entire stay. Their dining recommendations were perfect and they even walked us to the path that leads to the best beach. Nina could not do enough for us was so personable and made us feel at home. Our breakfast buffet was delicious each day and Anna made sure everything was perfect. Great cappuccinos ! Our room was clean and modern with comfortable beds. 10 out of 10 for Hotel Teranea!

The property was very clean, the beds were comfortable, having a pool was nice, and there was plenty of parking.

The room was less than tiny, very uncomfortable, not even a chair fit in it. The location is up the hill from the city center. Breakfast was fine. A special mention to the staff that was outstanding, specifically Bronco, a very nice guy. I am sorry but to be honest I wouldn’t recommend it.

We checked in the room and the toilet seat was dirty with stains and the rubbish bin in the toilet was full. We escalated this to the reception and they cleaned it right away but it was surprising. The room is small but modern. The breakfast is healthy. They offer a taxi service for a reduced price to town; they said to call a number to book this taxi, twice we called on two nights and nobody picked up. If you book the taxi in advance at reception it’s better. The staff are friendly. At 8am there was a very loud noise in our room, I think it’s the room next door using the shower, not good sound isolation

Lovely manager & very helpful. Yummy breakfast every day. Room was immaculate & 2 pools open all day/night for whenever you want to cool off. Great location if you want to be close to best beaches. Highly recommend!

Rooms were tiny. Took 2 days for the light to be fixed. No eating options near the hotel.

We had a wonderful stay at Teranea. They were helpful and nice to us. The room was great, it had everything you want and it was clean. We had a balcony with viev and the beds were confortable. Nice pool and breakfast. The only thing we should have done is to take a taxi with the luggage, because it was a bit of a challenge to get there with the luggage, but when you are there, it is worth it.

1 mile from port. Easy walk. Staff was so friendly and helpful. Super comfy beds and AC. Super clean. Breakfast was great. Hotels down the hill are twice the price if not more. Beaches easily accessible. If you want beachfront properties this isnt your place.

The location was great and an easy walk downhill to get into the old town. Staff was delightful, breakfast was good and the rooms were clean and quiet. Would highly recommend!
