We enjoyed our stay here in June 2026. The apartment was a good size and well equipped. The views were lovely and it was very quiet. A couple of days before our check in day we received a message from the host with some very helpful information about things to do and see in the area which was much appreciated. The message said that they would send us check in instructions on our arrival day but unfortunately this didn't happen which left us wondering if there was a problem with our booking, I did message the host to ask about this but didn't receive a reply before we arrived at the property. The host was there when we arrived so it worked out ok in the end but it would have been a much better experience if we had either received the details that were promised or if the message they sent us had told us to just turn up at the property.

Kitchen was well organized and stocked for self catering of any kind. So comfortable and peaceful, beautiful setting in a river valley. Lovely and gracious host.

The apartment was very nice with mountain views and the kitchen had everything that we needed, everything well marked with cooking oil, sugar, salt, spices coffee etc. The ad mentioned a full size fridge/freezer, there was only a small fridge, which was large enough for our needs for one night. It also mentioned toiletries but there was no shower gel, shampoo or conditioner, the host probably forgot. Very well decorated and presented studio, I would stay again if I visited this area again.

Had a lovely stay - the studio was clean and comfortable and very posh. Had wonderful views of the mountains and was dark enough to see the aurora!

Beautifully decorated, spacious studio with a large refrigerator and microwave and stovetop with dishes, pots, pans, etc. I could see spending a couple days here while exploring NW Iceland. It was the largest room we had had after 8 nights in Iceland. It had lots of chairs, a table, a nice large picture window that looked out over sheep in the meadow. We’re able to see the northern lights from here. Loved seeing the sheep and being on the farm. Did not get check instructions, but we were warmly greeted immediately when we showed up and given a tour of the studio apartment. The only negative was running low on hot water after one shower. Recommended.

Great sheep farm location, very quiet. Large room with full kitchen. Bedding and linens comfortable, lovely bathroom, but shampoo in the shower would have been appreciated. Nothing in close walking, so grab your groceries ahead of time. Nice stay for one night, recommended. Dolly the border collies is a mooch for pets!

The area is a peaceful stay with Einar. He was very welcoming and the room was spacious, clean with nice amenities. We loved meeting his puppy! Would definitely stay again when we return.

Beautiful stay. Quiet apartment outside of town in a nice rural setting with views. Ultra clean and fully stocked with everything you’d want. The owners were super nice and accommodating. 10/10, highly recommend. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

This studio apartment was GORGEOUS and so spacious. Very tranquil location, and easy check in. One of our favorite stays of the trip!

We loved this place and were so sad to only be staying for 1 night. The apartment was so big and so well equipted! Our favourite stop along our 2 week tour of the island. The photos were what we expected of the surroundings but do not do justice to how lovely the apartment itself is.

Good place to stay on your Diamond tour of Iceland

We had a nice stay here. The lady was very friendly and helpful. And the dog was friendly too. The apartment and the cottage were great; very comfortable and clean with great view of a mountain and big piece of grass, with beautiful sunset. We enjoyed it very much.

We had a warm welcome from Einar and his wife, and… their 2 lovely dogs. The place is lovely and well equipped with a nice view. Should there be northern lights, we would have been at the front row!
