Even though i had booked a ground floor studio we were placed upstairs because the manager thought it would be better for a family! I had booked the ground floor as I have mobility issues! The stairs were made of stone & had worn to different shapes which I found very difficult. We complained & had some money returned but this did not help with problems with the stairs! So my husband had to supervise me on the stairs. The room was nice but smaller than booked - nowhere to put clothes. The bed was very comfortable. However on the day of leaving there was no hot water!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Casa Dei Delfini. The building has been beautifully renovated by the owners and was very easy to find from the instructions given. It is located in a pedestrian area which is very quiet and very typical of Old Town Rethymno, and a few minutes walk away from all local amenities and sites. Our hosts were very very friendly and helpful and the rooms where spacious, spotless and cleaned every day. We stayed in the Penthouse for a week over New Year and it was very comfortable. By day the temperature was "spring-like" in Rethymno but by night would drop so we made ample use of the modern heated air-con units available for use when we needed it. We were loathe to leave when we had too and would really recommend this property to other visitors, especially as our room had a large roof terrace with sun loungers and a bistro table, which would be perfect for al fresco breakfast/lunches when the weather warms up. The views over the Fortezza , Rethymno town and the mountains beyond where fantastic. A memorable stay indeed.

We loved Casa dei Delfini. It's a lovely reimagining of an historic home. Our room had all the modern conveniences including a small kitchenette, coffee machine, nice bedding and upscale bathroom. We enjoyed the breakfast. It's easy walking distance to all the old town sights.

Casa dei Delfini was such a beautiful boutique hotel, nestled in the center of Rethymno. The staff were incredibly friendly and hospitable, they truly made our first time in Crete memorable. The location was amazing with awesome food all around. Breakfast was also delicious. I would love to come back in the future!

Fantastic hotel, lovely room with air con. Here for an event August and the general areas do not have air con, which have been very hot. Would definitely come again but in cooler months. Fantastic location in heart of the old town.

The Casa dei Delfini is a credit to the owners, who have restored their two buildings with care and sensitivity for their historical roots. They have brought light into the buildings, while preserving their authenticity. Our hosts made the first contact with us, and responded to our messages quickly. Konstantinos was kind and informative, and his mother was fantastic in her enthusiasm for the restoration and care of the buildings. We had the generous and tasty breakfast one day and recommend it. Our rooms at the top of the hotel gave us a glorious view of Rethymno and its Fortezza. Konstantinos helped us get our heavy suitcases up the steps. You can stay on level one or two in the older rooms, or like us, stay on the top floor to take advantage of the magnificent view of the town and the mountains.

Great location in Old Town. Room was perfect. Loved the bed. Very quaint. Only sad part was the rain:(

Parking is difficult. No cars are allowed in the Old City so you will probably have to walk about 300m or so to reach the hotel. We were advised that there was street parking, a free lot, and a pay lot a shot met distance away, but everything was always full and we were there in Dec. Also there is a market in one of the lots on Thursdays, so no parking there. Other than the parking (for us) the location is near several restaurants and shops and the room was new and very comfortable and well equipped.

Bed, pillow and duvet were very comfortable. Driving and parking downtown were a challenge.

Katerina and staff were great.

We got in much later than expected but Katerina waited for us to check in. The place was so cute and beautifully decorated. We had a lovely breakfast the next morning before heading out to our next destination. I wish we were able to stay longer.

We had a wonderful stay, the hotel is beautiful it is both modern with original architecture feel. We loved being in old town and getting parking close wasn’t too bad. We had a lovely check in and very informative staff. The beds are firm but I slept well. The kitchen had everything we needed. Would stay again

The hotel was beyond amazing! We loved the original architecture in the lobby and room we were in. The staff was great; very helpful with touring and eating suggestions. The hotel is located right in the middle of old town with lots of shopping and dining options available around every corner. There was breakfast every morning included which was essentially a continental breakfast but they also made eggs to order. We hated to leave!

This is a lovely place, run by a very nice family who care about the property and are providing excellent service. The town is also lovely, with friendly people and a great atmosphere.
