The check in and out instructions were clear. The room was clean. It was in a nice area and near public transportation. The TV and wifi worked perfectly.

Zero wifi for must of my stay which was extremely irritating for someone travelling from overseas who doesn’t want to accumulate serious roaming charges! Since it is self check-in there’s nobody to complain to. It’s super easy to lock yourself out of your room by accident (door locks automatically) and difficult to contact somebody to come let you back in. This whole self-service idea is really absurd.

Easy check in and out; but even more importantly, clean and safe property in a lovely area close to transport links.

We were pleasantly surprised with the room being more spacious than expected, also a small kitchen with all the amenities on the same floor.

Great Location near metro etc. has shared kitchen..free self service laundry. Not luxurious BUT cant neat value for price. Clean _ Great housekeeper. Tricky location of checkin box.actually on 2nd level..you will get it. Also Do NOT eat at that Nasty overpriced recommended Pizza place - plenty of places to chose from. Also grocery stores a few blocks away.

No AC, unfortunately. Otherwise, employees are nice, easy self check-in. There is a restaurant on the ground floor which doesn’t close until 10 or 10:30pm, bring your earplugs if you want to leave the window open.

Great hotel, well located and fuss-free check in and check out. I arrived late at night and it was super easy to find the location, access the key machine and get into my room. The only down side is that there is no air conditioning other than opening the windows which have limits on them, so it was rather warm due to the heatwave. There was a large fan provided which was effective, but quite noisy to use in the night. The in-room drinks (water bottle, coffee sachets) weren't replaced when the housekeeping came each day which was a bit odd, but otherwise it worked perfectly for a short business stay in Vienna.

This is a wonderful place to stay in central Vienna, just outside the ring. There are excellent amenities with lovely restaurants and cafés nearby. City Hotel Riess could make it easier to contact them with questions or concerns. No lift so you need to carry heavy luggage up 3 flights, but worth it for the price and convenience. Cleaning staff were helpful and friendly.

Did not receive email to give me access to building after 2pm. Was travelling with friend who had used different booking agent so no problem. Nice to have fruit available and coffee pods once I worked out where they were. Home made cake also nice touch.

The room was clean and spacious and a very good deal for the price. But the reception is located on the second floor and there’s no elevator. So it might be a hazle if you have heavy bags. Also, the light in my bathroom was flickering and they never repaired it after I asked them.

Staff So kind and comfortable to stay, location is quite nice, quiet at night and tram stop is less than a minute walk away. Nicely-equipped clean room and public kitchen. Would definitely stay here again if I visit Vienna!

Cons: Did not receive any email from the hotel with a code needed to check in after 1400. The instructions on thr front door stated to press the button for reception and another button for 'emergency'. Eventually got through to someone via phone. Room light kept flickering on throughout the night and early morning, each time i would have to physically turn it off. Mentioned it to reception after the first night, still had thr same issue the second night. Pros: Good location, room overall was perfect for one person, amenities (kitchen, laundry) were great.

Good place close to things. Nice inexpensive option. Nothing fancy, but comfortable and easy.
