Very nice location

Property is 5 min from airport. The check in is fast, lobby is clean and everyone is helpful. We stayed on 8th floor and had an ocean view balcony. Room was clean, updated, nice space, amenities and the a/c worked all the time. Shower pressure was great with a waterfall showerhead. Plenary of American electrical outlets. Beautiful views from balcony. Pool was clean. Ocean was sandy, no rocks on entrance, but only about a dozen unbrellas. The whole resort was clean. The food was fantastic! the Italian restaurant was our favorite. Drinks were made very well and fast. Medium sized resort. Will book here again!

Our recent stay was unfortunately marred by significant issues. Most of the staff, particularly the cleaning staff and bartenders, were notably rude, acting as if they didn't want to be there, or us. Our room was disappointing; it seemed like the beds were made and the floor given a quick sweep, with little attention to detail. The shower design was incredibly poor, featuring only a half-stationary glass panel that consistently led to water overflowing onto the bathroom floor. Furthermore, our balcony on the back side of the hotel was unusable due to a persistent smell of hot garbage. To top it off the beds were as hard as rocks and were very uncomfortable to sleep on for a weeks time.

The staff and service was terrible. Staff did not want to be there. Restaurant stuff did not want to help guess with there orders and it showed. Was at dinner and never received the drinks we ordered. And this happened multiple times.

This was my second time at Sonesta and it was absolutely disappointing. I would never go back. Our room was on the third floor facing mullet bay. We were unable to enjoy our balcony. It absolutely stunk. It seems there a sewer problem because it always smelled so horrible. The kid zone area was the same thing and also around the kids pool. It was hard to enjoy the area with my two children as my daughter kept complaining about the smell saying it’s making her want to throw up. The room was okay. The bathroom had the silicone that they used in the bath over the walls. It made the bathroom feel filthy. Sonesta was nice the first time we went three years ago but I would definitely not visit the property again. Some of the staff members were so rude. One young man that was serving pizza my husband asked for pizza and he looked at my grown husband giving him one slice. My husband requested more and he gave him the dirtiest look and slapped one other slice on his plate. He had to ask my sister to go back to ask for more because he did not want to deal with that young man again. One young lady in the cafe in the lobby. Whenever you ask for something she literally just shuvs things at you. No plate. Just hands things to you in a napkin. This was a very disappointing stay. The property needs upgrading and attention and some of the staff members need training. I think because they are the only family all inclusive on the island they just do whatever they choose.

LOVE the room key is a bracelet, very safe to go out and amazing food, water is cristal clear bit it has some wave not tje best for small kids, i highly recommended
