The hotel was everything offered and more, the staff is extraordinary, from the outside security, front desk receptionists, servers throughout all the restaurants, housekeepers and more, these people know what it is to host. I’m planing my next trip to Ecuador and be certain that I won’t need to search for any other hotel, Oro Verde is it for me!!!

I made a reservation for the weekend of August 29th-31st for two nights. From the moment I checked in, I felt a little different because the property is undergoing renovations and didn't look as expected. Whenever I visit Guayaquil, I consider Oro Verde my home in Guayaquil, but on this occasion, there was a situation that made me quite uncomfortable during my visit. I normally travel alone, but I made a reservation for two people since I'm always accompanied by family or friends, and I wanted to enjoy the breakfast for two, as I always do. The rooms I reserved were large two-room rooms, since my family or friends always go up to the room with me to share for a while. On this occasion, I had two friends accompany me to the room after sharing a good time at the bar, and we wanted to spend a little more time in the room, but obviously only for a couple of hours, not as hotel guests. When I went to check them in at the front desk, the agent told me I had to pay $50 for each person who came with me. I explained that they weren't staying; it was just a short visit, but the agent still told me it was hotel policy. Since I've been staying at the hotel, approximately since 2019, I've never had this inconvenience. I've always had my guests, like my parents or friends. I fully understand that if you're going to use the facilities and sleep at the hotel, you obviously must pay, but that wasn't the case. I made the payment, but I'm not at all happy about this.

Staff were very polite and helpful. They spoke very good English. Room was clean and very comfortable. Couldn't fault anything.

Out of all the hotels in the chain, the location in Guayaquil has been the best. Professional staff, friendly, helpful and always give me a room upgrade. This is my favorite Oro Verde in Ecuador.

We really enjoyed our stay at Oro. Great facilities, excellent breakfast choice and the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. Guayaquil is generally unsafe and the area around the hotel is a typical example as to why but the hotel try to ensure that this doesn’t impact on your stay and do this well. I did experience a problem with payment miscommunication during my stay and I feel the staff could have done a little more to assist but that’s a lesson learnt for me. A slight detraction from an otherwise great stay.
