I have now stayed at this hotel around five times and aside from it being a little Oasis in TANA, what I value most is the consistency of the offering and in particular, the service. You don’t get that everywhere in Madagascar but we are always comforted when we know we are coming to stay here.

The only issue was the gym. The treadmill was not working…

This is our second stay at the Relais - we stayed here in 2025 just for one night but are now staying for two so we can decompress coming from London and also enjoy the pool and restaurant. There is also great WiFi so I can complete some work. Friendly staff, lovely food especially the breakfast which has a variety of hot dishes, cold buffet, pastries and omelettes. Rooms are good and the grounds delightful - a real oasis.

We appreciated the free airport pickup. Decent size room with a comfortable bed. AC was good and strong. Breakfast buffet had plenty of items (including gluten free items) but not a lot of protein. Dinner was excellent. The hotel is situated in the middle of a busy part of town with few tourist restaurants. Seems safe to walk around but we didn’t feel comfortable eating the many street food places. Staff were friendly and helpful.

The room was clean and spacious

Constant power cuts, no hot water on the first night until after midnight, everything is signed for twice, staying in the room cost an extra €60 for a few hours in the afternoon before I go to the airport even though the hotel is almost empty, breakfast is disgusting with the exception of the person making the omelettes. The best part about this Hotel has been picked up from the airport no question.

I would give this hotel an "excellent" rating were it not for the restaurant, which seems pretentious. Otherwise, excellent room, great sleep quality, lovely grounds and not far from the airport. Good staff too.

This property is a little gem inside a brick wall city. The pool was a welcome relief, the massages were enjoyable and very well priced. The morning breakfast was excellent with multiple options including gluten free choices. The restaurant staff were attentive, friendly and ready to serve. The rooms were clean but not all rooms have mosquito netting around the bed.

Everything was wonderful. All the staff were friendly, helpful, and kind. The spa was great. The massage was amazing and it was a great start to my Madagascar adventure.

The staff was helpful. The property does not feel like a city hotel - the gardening is very pleasant and it is quiet, except for the construction going on. There is a good souvenir shop across the street. The food in the restaurant was mixed. Some was good, but the vegetarian options were almost inedible.
