Hospitality was great during breakfast and room service. Many thanks to Beatrice and the kitchen staff or a friendly greeting every morning.

Beautiful old hotel in downtown Nairobi. The suite was excellent. The lounge is great. The hotel helped us get to the airport when downtown was hit with the Gen Z protests.

This hotel is located in the heart of the city. The building has seen better days, but it’s still a decent place to stay. Unfortunately, not all the services advertised were available. However, the manager did offer to arrange a visit to another facility, but it wasn’t worth the hassle.

I have been staying in this Hotel since 1999. At one point of time I had given them a contract from my local company, for minimum 100 room nights in a year. This was probably in 2002-2005. Now-a-days I fly from DELHI through Air India and flight reaches there at 6:30 PM and thus I check-in at about 8:00 PM. My return flight timing is 08:00 PM from Nairobi. When I asked them for a Late check-out at 2:00 PM (instead of normal check-out time of 11:00 AM), the person at the hotel reception tells me after confirming from his seniors over the phone, it will cost me extra. If that is the behaviour of the hotel, where I have been staying since 25+ years, I would rather change the hotel. Incidentally, I was staying in a club room.

Great property right in the middle of the CBD. Hotel has a lot of history and staff is very knowledge about the property. Maxwell who was in the 1902 Club Lounge was truly amazing and made the stay very memorable. If you can spend a little extra for the Club Lounge, it is worth it.

The iconic hotel that’s been there for well over a century is well maintained right smack in the middle of the hustle bustle of Nairobi. A safe secure place to go after the craziness of the streets.

The staff was very nice, but we were informed about walking around when its crowded or at night. The area is ehh okay, but convenient if you want to walk around.

An amazing historic hotel in downtown Nairobi. You can even get a historical tour of the hotel. First class establishment and staff - all the way. They say the Thai restaurant is the best dining experience in the city - it did not disappoint. Upgrading to a room where you get access to the lounge is very worth it, in my opinion.

Overall it was a very nice stay, excellent breakfast and very friendly staff. But three issues: 1) as per our Hotels.com booking we were to each receive one free drink per stay, but we didn’t and were never offered; 2) Amin as per Hotels.com we were to perhaps get a late checkout, but they denied our request for an extra 30 minutes; and 3) there was made available free drinking water but the bottles we basically impossible to open; I even cut my finger trying when the bottle top actually broke off (which happened two times). Then when requesting more drinking water it took ages to come.
