No one there to receive you.

No internet. locating the address was rather difficult and the ambience of the environment was poor.

I was not satisfied with the accommodation, I solved some of the things with the manager and I also reported Expedition with the attached photographs as evidence. 1. Frequently we parked a foreign car in front of the apartment, which made it impossible to see the apartment (also with the accommodation manager) 2. Nearly all of our stay was in the pool of green water (all documented and sent expedition) 3. Bad connection Wifi sometimes did not work almost 1.5 on 4. Breakfast was imported and was almost the same and some things were missing (yoghurt ...) 5. Grill in terrible condition unclean 6. On our arrival, no one knew us and they were all surprised (I already rated it in the email from the CHECK-IN) The cherry on the cake was when the staff member of the residence came to tell me that we were leaving 6 and then we had to deal with the manager of the hotel. 7. The apartment was in a terrible condition a stove and a toilet running through. 8. One day we did not clean the room and we had a whole day in the room with the remnants of the breakfast which last night was at our request was taken by the security guy 9. The 24-hour reception as it was written at the facility was also unavailable and more more more...Please refund my money...Thank you

Pro: nice location, staff cordial, nice amenities Cons: a bit old mattresses for elderly people, or for someone with back pain. overall I would still go back to it

Positives: Very good location, beaches/shops. Staff were quite friendly. Size of apartment was good. Relatively quiet. Negatives: The complex is quite old and needs to be worked on. Rooms quite old/outdated. Needs to be painted, refurbished. Beds in bad condition. Wi-Fi signal not good (could be seen as a positive)

There are some older villas and some newer villas - my family and I (4 adults) were in a 2 bedroom older villa. We arrived late at night in Mauritius, was very dark outside, drove from the airport to the villas. Extremely difficult to find the place at night - as the majority of roads have no lights on at night or even any reflective cat's eyes. As I knew the main roads well I was able to reach the area then rang the number given for Residence Villas Mont Choisy and was given clear directions to the place. I would strongly advise if you have never driven in Mauritius before or don't know the area well to contact Residence Villas Mont Choisy and ask them to arrange pick-up from the airport/get a taxi from the airport to the villas, as roads can be quite dangerous to drive in, expecially at night. The villa was very clean, everyday the bedlinen is changed and villa is cleaned. All of the furniture is old and not modern. The bathroom has an old sink and the shower is not a shower cubicle but instead is a shower area with tiles on the floor and walls. Windows could not be closed in the bathroom - 2 cockroaches got in. One of the things that needs major improvement is the lighting - even when all the lights were turned on it was very dark in the villa, very hard to read books, use the mirror and relax in the villa. Nothing was provided on our first night and throughout our stay, except - toilet paper, soap, bed linen & pillows and handwash. All staff are friendly and helpful.

We really enjoyed it. Kids could walk to the beach or stay at the resort for a swim. The staff was amazing. They helped us whenever we needed one. They were very friendly.

The hotel is located in a calm and quite place and very close to Mont Choisy public beach.the property is well maintained. Excellent as B & B or self catering apartment. Staffs are friendly and helping. Only issue is language for communication. They are not comfortable in English. We had an excellent stay there. The beach is only 2 min walk from the property...just on the other side of the road.

As this was our first visit to Mauritius, we had a tough time finding the place as we had hired a car and drove ourselves. It would be a good idea to welcome the guests and pick them up from the airport when they arrive. The rooms were clean but the Manager and staff was not there - the security guard was helpful but ill equipped. Basic things like soap, shampoo, drinking water etc were not placed in the rooms. Wifi was patchy in the room provided so we changed the room closer to the router after 2 days and things were better. Guests could be guided about things to do and tours to take. Once we accepted that we had to arrange everything ourselves, the stay became pleasant. The location is the best as it is walking distance from the Mount Choisy beach.

Our two bedroom apartment was very spacious,the beds comfortable and the air conditioning quiet. Although things are a little tired the lovely ladies who clean every day do an excellent job. The place is well run with 24 hour security and a full time gardener/poolman. The gardens are attractive and the pool is nice and deep for swimming, there is a little pool for toddlers. The apartments are only across the road from a good beach but if you want to go out at night there is not much nearby, you really need a car as the buses which are almost constant in the daytime do stop early. We did see into a one bedroom apartment and felt they were a bit small and gloomy, they are in a separate part of the building.

The location was excellent - just around the corner from the beach. The bus stop is right outside the gate of the property so getting around is very easy and cheap. My only recommendation is that they should fumegate to get rid of some cockroaches that we spotted in the kitchen.

Simple, functional villa in a very nice setting across from perhaps the most beautiful beach in the world; there are restaurants close by as well as a supermarket; good to have a rented car otherwise taxis are easily available. Possibility of taking tours to other parts of the beautiful island which is as pretty as the French polynesian islands of the Pacific. The island is colorful both for its lanscapes and its people. Good opportunities for water sports.

Close to beach and hotels. on main buss route to Grand Bay. Lots of places to eat. Lots to do. Will definetely visit the area again.

This was a good, small and affordable hotel with extremely helpfull and friendly staff. The spacious bungalow was just three meters from the swimming pool and included a nice terrace. Room had 2 bedrooms and combined livingroom-kitchen with all equipment to cook for yourself. Living room had also 2 sofa-beds so that the bungalow could have been occupied by a max 6 persons. The largest beach in Mauritius 'Mont Choisy beach' is just accross the road about 200m away. Other than that, there is not much to be seen around the hotel. There is a restaurant or two (good quality Indian restaurant at the neighbouring hotel) and a small shop nearby (500m) but the nearest collection of shops, drink bars and restaurants is located 6km away at 'grand baie', to which you'll have to take either an extremely cheap bus (bus stop is near by) or a cheap taxi.

This place was OK. We had a studio apartment which was quite big but basic and also had an ajoining door to the next door apartment. This was noisy but all noise was drowned out by the aircon anyway. It was very clean, but well used. The pool and garden were very nice but unfortunately close to the very busy main road which is noisy during the day. Quiet in the evenings though. Very very close to the big public beach, which is very nice and safe for swimming. Many restaurants a short walk or taxi ride away - if walking a torch is vital at night to be seen by traffic (no pavements)!! All in all a good base for sightseeing in the North.

Bra läge. Närhet till Mont Choisy strand samt otroligt fina Trou aux biches. Bra med bussförbindelse till staden Grand Baie för kvällsaktiviteter och middag. Ett gulligt hotell med fin personal som lämnar frukost i lägenheten varje morgon och som sköter städningen. Trevlig personal överlag på hotellet. Tyvärr är hotellet i så dåligt skick att städningen inte avspeglar deras insats. Massvis med myror och mindre insekter inne i lägenheten. Lämnar man frukostbrickan ensam i 10 minuter kryllar det av myror. Kan man leva med det och ser till att hålla mat/sötsaker enbart innanför kylskåpet så är detta hotell ett perfekt hotell i förhållande till läge, stränder, förbindelser. Samt otroligt prisvärt. Jag kommer dock inte återvända då jag är alldeles för kinkig när det kommer till skick och renlighet. Får de Ordning på småkrypen och uppdaterar sig lite så är det utmärkt!
