The condo itself is great! It looks like the pictures. The views of Toronto are incredible as it is on the 48th floor. There is a patio but can’t be used because there are no chairs out there which was disappointing. Also there is NO cable TV. So if you need that or are traveling with children keep that in mind. The location is downtown/financial district so very convenient for walking to most things and only about a $9 Uber ride to other places.
No for the bad. Communication with the rental company is HORRIBLE. The rental wanted a $500 deposit for 3 nights which was excessive and they asked for a bank transfer. That was suspicious to me. Then they asked for an authorization form for the deposit which they never sent to me. You can only message them thru Expedia and they took days to respond. There is no phone number for them. When they finally responded I was already traveling and did not have access to a printer, fax or scanner to send form back so I panicked bc I thought I wouldn’t be able to check in. They wouldn’t send the check in instructions to me until they received the form and the $500 deposit. After 2 hours on the phone I finally sent a copy of my credit card and ID and sent a written authorization via email to charge the deposit. Initially it felt very much like a scam. It all ended up working out in the end but with lots of frustration. Expedia needs to work on handling this type of rental.
