This b and b was one of the best we have ever stayed at. A great host, very helpful. Great room, very clean. A draw back for some maybe a shared bathroom, however, we were fortunate enough to be there on a night where we did not have to share the facilities. A great garden where guests can pick fresh oranges, kumkwats, and grapefruit. Just amazing.

What a treat to stay at Beit Al Baraka in Umm Qais. My only regret is that we did not stay for 2 nights. The room was clean, comfortable and spacious Bathroom was fully equipped. Patio was lovely for relaxing in and for eating breakfast surrounded by citrus trees and with a view over the Jordan Valley. And the breakfast...sumptuous with the produce of the region. We had pitas and local honey, jam from local fruits, goat butter, goat cheese, goat yogurt, veggies and, my all-time favourite, shakshuka. What a feast. A fantastic starting point for a day of exploring the ruins or going on a jaunt down to the Valley ( if you don't mind the checkpoints). We were directed to eat dinner at the Romero Group restaurant in the ruins where we had the incomparable Chicken Umm Qais (rest of the menu is quite westernized). That is still a highlight of my menu choices. Next time I will stay for longer!

Pleasant B&B, however a bit overpriced. Tasty breakfast and good heating at night (important during the winter time). A bit hard to find due to a layout of the streets. Short distance to the main street and Roman ruins.

This is literally the guesthouse stay of my dreams. Everyone was tremendously hospitable, the breakfasts were amazing, and the place was so stunning I chose to fantasize that it was my own home. The neighbors were all kind and welcoming, and we did a few of the experiences, which were so fun. We did beekeeping with Yousef which was super interesting and fun, and lunch at Rofidah’s Kitchen which was amongst the top 5 meals of my life. Ah-mad, the tour guide was super passionate, knowledgeable and helpful. Can not recommend this all highly enough. I recommend basing your whole trip around this place.

This place is very special. We loved our visit here—our room had a lovely view of the valley and was fast fully decorated. The living room had local art work, books and a very cozy and elegant feel. More than this our hosts were amazing—we were welcomed with fresh fruit picked from the tree and a fresh lemonade. Our host personally escorted us to set up our cell phones in Jordan and gave us a wonderful restaurant recommendation (the rest house Romeo at the ruins of Umm Qais). In the morning, Ramya presented us with a traditional breakfast which was a real treat. A local guide, Ahmad, dropped by just to say hello and help us with questions about hiking the Jordan Trail—he even took us to the trail head to start our hike. You will feel very safe and welcoming me here—a wonderful cultural experience!
