Quick Ikea Flipped Motel (Great to stay in 2024, won't be after)
Very nice ambiance, especially if you have a large group of friends or family staying, it's easy to take over the lawn area (which could be bad or very good)
Things I didn't realize that I felt weren't really advertised when I booked:
- There is a pool you can use in their sister hotel across the road
- They provide beach chairs/beach towels & bicycles
- There is a mini beach a minute walk away
- They provide beach passes for a majority of the town's beaches (some are excluded)
- The place is very tech savy, they text you your room codes. You can also text the front desk with questions/issues which was nice.
Advice to guests
- Parking is extremely limited (It does state only 1 car per room on website though)
- Note that there is just one loud window AC, not central.
Advice to property owner:
- Add more hooks in the shower to hang wet bathing suits
- Install bathroom fans
- Provide Tea Kettles/Coffee makers in the rooms (or at least have a few if they are requested)
-Staff to wear name tags (hard to know who works there as the employee dress very nicely just like guests)
- ADD SHEER CURTAINS TO THE 1st FLOOR ROOMS. We had to choose between privacy or sunshine so the room was always dark as you can see right in.
- Spend the few hundred dollars to put side tables near the beds (only one in the center)
Interior is an Ikea quick flip which works awesome for now but I give it until the end of the year
