Pricey.

A very nice comfortable room. On the smaller size for a suite but everything you expect just smaller.

Upon booking and check in the two staff and a manager never mentioned that the pool was out of service. With two children we were checked in at 330pm. Shortly after we headed for the pool dressed to swim for the afternoon. There was a sign on the door saying closed until further notice. I had told the long red haired worker that was the whole reason we stayed there ($230 a night) she just stared at me. A manager contacted after reading the review about that and apologized. Refunding the extra amount we had to pay for a their breakfast. I responded letting him know that was suppose to be refunded anyhow due to signing up to be members at check in ( which had not been given) he has not responded since.

The king size bed was so comfortable, the bathroom was clean. Only issue was the pool was closed. It was a valentines date.

Just loved it!

Nothing spectacular. This hotel is mid-level in my opinion, stayed in the executive room that had a separate living room area. But for half the price I could have stayed somewhere else for the same exact benefit. Also, don’t expect great hospitality in this region. I walked in to the lobby stood for 10-15 minutes waiting at the front desk on someone to check me. Someone kept walking by and making eye contact in the back room. Eventually I hollered asking was there anyone working the front desk and the guy finally came around with an attitude saying “yes, me”. Well that made me pretty unhappy for sure, so I won’t be staying here again. I expect more from Marriott hotels. Also this area is nice but has a bunch of homeless people about, right at the hotel too.

Our stay was fantastic! We were pleasantly surprised at not only the location of our hotel, but the wuality of the hotel for the price we paid. Our kids were excited to use the pool after being in the car all day. The hotel is within walking distance to many shops and restaurants near the Marshall University campus. The hotel and room were very clean and everyone was helpful. The breakfast buffet was good as well. If we pass through Huntington again, I'd definitely stay there.
