Great, peaceful stay. Top notch staff, service, food and amenities, including the rooftop sauna.

The service was exceptional. Decor calming and serene. Location was absolutely perfect for exploring all the busy “must see” locals, but also authentic & beautiful.

We had an amazing stay. The rooms are exceptionally comfortable and well-appointed. The location is in a nice neighborhood within walking distance of various temples and the Gion district. I would highly recommend this property.

This place was possibly the best hotel I've stayed at in 20 years of travelling. The customer service is impeccable, the rooms have been carefully thought-out to provide maximum relaxation, and the restaurant is top notch. Ensure you eat there!!

Great stay. My girlfriend and I went just for two nights and had a wonderful time. Very cool hotel. We had breakfast and dinner one day and it was delicious. The staff was very kind and helpful. Can’t wait to return

The staff were friendly and kind the aesthetic was lovely and the area was a nice home base. The shower and amenities were also nice. The reason I am not giving it a better review is the cooling system was awful. The room was simultaneously freezing and damp. The futon for our son was super thin. I wouldn’t stay here again.

Absolutely everything was incredible. Best hotel we have ever stayed in. Bamboo suite was an experience in itself. Staff was attentive and too kind.

The Junei was spectacular in beauty, service, amenities and dining experience. It was so lovely it was difficult to leave. The staff was outstanding and makes you feel as if you are their only customer. We can’t find one negative about this hotel. We highly recommend it.

Our stay at the Junei Hotel Kyoto was amazing! Best service we’ve ever received from a Hotel staff, especially from Masahito (I believe is his name) at the front desk. He went above and beyond with any request or questionwe had. Such a kind individual along with the rest of the staff. We can’t wait to be back!

Amazing time at the Junei Hotel. Staff were very friendly and helped us quite a bit. Front desk had excellent English as well as the restaurant staff. We had the dinner at the on site restaurant and it was beyond any meal I've had in the past. I would definitely suggest staying at this hotel!

We stayed here for two nights during our visit in Kyoto. Great location for a couple of nights, as it is close to the Kyoto National Museum and Sanjusangendo temple. The staff were welcoming, kind and wanted to ensure we had a great a great stay. Breakfast was exceptional! We had the most incredible and delicious traditional breakfasts. A highlight of our stay! While I loved our room and the incredible bathtub it offered, the one negative for me was a musty odor in the room (I am sensitive to smell). We stayed on the ground floor and would ask the hotel to kindly look into this.

Friendly staff, great amenities, good location. The rooms are very clean, comfortable, private. The restaurant serves multi-course Japanese breakfast and dinner, make sure to sign up in advance. The hotel is close to the main train station, busy downtown, and also to a few temples within walking distance.

Fairly new hotel. Stayed in the Mutzuki room. Lots of space, very elegant and unique. Staff was attentive and many of them were billingual. Overall, I think a 4.5/5 is not out of the question.

子供・両親を連れての京旅でしたが、とても温かいスタッフの皆様で、快適に過ごさせて頂きました。

ホテルのフロントからまずいい香りで、お部屋を入った瞬間、ひのきのいい香りがしました。畳に低めの大きなベッドがあり、落ち着く部屋でした。スタッフの対応もとても丁寧で、朝ごはんには割烹料理をいただき、朝から幸せでした(^^)また泊まりたいです。

受けつけのスタッフさんは、とても丁寧で親切 出来立てのホテルだけあって、施設はとてもきれいでした 朝ごはんもとてもおいしく、こどもたちも満足していました ご飯は、お米ブレンドマイスターが選定したお米だとか。それに加え、釜焚きごはんでしたので、とてもおいしかったです。 お部屋の掃除も行き届いており、清潔でした アメニティも使いやすく、石鹸はとてもいい香りがしました。 コロナ対策に、マスク人数分と、消毒スプレーも配備してくれており、心遣いに感謝です。 また宿泊したいと思えるホテルでした。 ホテルの入り口がわかりにくかったです。 入り口はホテルの東側です。 （東側から西側に向かってエントリーしていきます）
