We love Guest House Douro! For our first time traveling in Portugal, they welcomed us warmly and showed us great kindness. They were personal and always welcomed us at the door with a conversation and asked if we needed anything. The breakfast was tasty and they made the effort to make things from scratch - truly unheard of in the US. Book a room now. You won't regret it!

What a great place to stay in Porto ! What they lack in space, they make up in hospitality & accommodations. Everything is clean & fresh, the breakfast was awesome, and the staff is so helpful ! You are at steps from the river, and access to all of the restaurants & shops. We would definitely go back !

You couldn't ask for a better location or more attentive staff. The breakfast was amazing. This historic spot is not large so don't expect a roomy room. Do expect to be in the center of the historic waterfront!

We loved everything about Guest House Duoro! This small hotel - 8 rooms - was perfectly appointed, had amazing staff, was in a cool and central location, and had a gorgeous breakfast included in the price. We had a river view room, which was stunning. Love this place. Stay here!

People were excellent: Luís and Alejandro are extremely friendly and helpful during entire stay suggesting places to eat. Luisa was great during our check in but unfortunately was not on duty for remainder of our stay. The unexpected free breakfast was an excellent touch! Would definitely consider staying again!

My girl left behind medications that were not discovered even though we know they were left in the room.

Friendly staff, great location. Does not get better than that

The location is in the center of activity and walking distance to many historical sites. The water side view of the Douro river is the best amenity of the room (queen bed was also very comfortable). The included breakfast exceeded expectations and the staff went out of their way to assist with site seeing and restaurant recommendations. This hotel was an exceptional find. My recommendation is to reserve early (and stay extra nights) as there are few rooms in this intimate hotel.

Fantastic location. Everything is walkable from here. Next to the river and great views. The rooms are small, but it's Porto on the river. The staff is very accommodating but access to the front door is challenging after hours. Would definitely consider again.

The service stood out as amazing with a feel of concierge service. Alejandro, Luisa and Beatrice made me feel very welcome. The room was very clean and overlooked the iconic river, where you can feel the cool breeze and hear the seagulls and faraway live music. The complimentary breakfast and service can rival any 5-star service and quality.

We had a wonderful stay at Guest House Douro!! The hotel's location is perfect for visiting Porto in a short time because it is in walking distance to most of the attractions. The view from our window is unbelievable! The hotel service is excellent! Luis checked us in and helped us plan our day right away. He made marks and wrote instructions on our map and answered all our questions. The neighbor restaurants which he recommended were so good, we couldn't have found them on our own. If you want to find a perfect place to stay in Porto and get all the help you need, Guest House Douro is your best choice.
