Very nice hotel in Soroti, probably the best where we stayed in Uganda. Definitely our base when we come to visit wife's family. Great breakfast, very nice staff. Only slight issues was with water as I get now as a normal in Uganda

Hursey Resort was a very pleasant stay for us. It is just outside Soroti (about 5km) on the edge of town with views of the surrounding area. The hotel is in secure compound with large garden grounds. The Staff are excellent, very professional, helpful and friendly. The room was large, clean and very comfortable with AC and plenty of hot water for the shower. Wifi was generally good and quite fast. The hotel restaurant has a good range of western and local foods, all well prepared. We will back next time we are in Soroti.

When we found ourselves unexpectedly in Soroti after a few wearying days farther north, we booked this hotel impulsively and it was a sound decision. The rooms were immaculate, the amenities plentiful, the food outstanding. The grounds are so lovely that we had to rally to leave the hotel each day. Beware- breakfast is so bountiful that we could only finish half our plates each day (we made takeaway lunch of the rest). Excellent wi-fi for business travellers. Christine, the manager here, is supremely elegant and professional- she could just as easily be running the Paris Ritz, and has a way of making her guests feel as special. We will absolutely be staying here again.
