We where looking forward to our 3 night stay in York, so arrived early in the City & parked the car, had Lunch & a few drinks at an Italian up the road from the riverside loft apartments awaiting our email with all the information & codes to get into the accommodation for a 3pm check in as there was no front desk, we waited till 2.45 & still no email so rang the number for the letting agency provided (Stays York) which had been disconnected. as panic set in wondering if we had been ripped off & a 2 hour phone conversation & rant at the poor Hotel.com reps who couldn’t also get in touch with Stays York found us alternative accommodation. We’ve emailed Stays York & complained about our experience but had no response. Very unprofessional letting agency that seem not to be bothered about their paying customers. If it wasn’t for Hotels.com we would have been stranded no thanks to Stays York
