This is a gorgeous spot to stay. I loved the the hot tub, and our room was quite comfortable. There was limited options for dinner for us, as the vegetarian option wasn't available, but they were great to make something up for us. Would recommend this place.

We loved this place. The property manager Cuba was very kind and helpful. We were fortunate to see the northern lights during our stay here.

Our stay at Engimýri was comfortable. The food in the restaurant was also good. We also appreciate the good service at the reception.

Quite area with beautiful surroundings and nice atmosphere, hot tub, clean, nice breakfast.

They provided a clear instruction in advance how to check in if we arrived out of their regular check-in hours. The motel is right off the route 1, very convenient to get to. The staff was friendly, although the restaurant was closed when we arrived, she did take extra effort to make a sandwich for my son. I really appreciate that because otherwise I need to drive ~20 minutes one-way to the town to get food around 10pm. It has a hot tub which may help travelers relax a little bit after a long day trip. Breakfast was included so we can hit the road in the morning without worrying to find a place to eat.

We stayed at this guest house for one night just recently. From being greeted cordially as we entered to making sure we are good to go as we left the next morning, everything about this place was just too good to be true. We arrived after a long, tiring day of hiking, driving and just generally being out and about all day, and the sweet lady at the front offered to heat up their hot tub for us to relax. At that point, I didn't even realize our stay included the hot tub, until she told us we also had breakfast as part of our reservation - 20 more mins of sleep as we didn't have to prepare for anything to eat early next day! The hot tub is essentially outdoors but in a covered space which makes you feel less cold. Breakfast next morning was also great, with vegan brownies as a surprise! All in all, SO much better than so many other hotels we stayed in that charge 3.000ISK per person for breakfast let alone the room charges for their small size! Thank you for making us feel at home!

Located in a nice little valley, close to Akureyri. The rooms are spacious which is great if you have some luggage and don’t want to feel cramped. There is a sink in the room so you don’t have to go to the main bathroom to brush your teeth which keeps the wait to use the bathroom low. Also, breakfast was included :)

Nice clean property with friendly and helpful staff. Complimentary breakfast was very good. On sight restaurant was very good really enjoyed all the food we had. location is close to the road1 so convenient but also nice and rural with dramatic mountain views around.
