We loved our stay at SoulShine! The accommodations were perfect, the grounds and pool are beautiful, and the staff is amazing. The beach is a short walk away and is great for swimming and surfing, and the sand is so soft. We highly recommend Soul Shine and would definitely return.

Personnel sympathique, beau bungalow entouré de verdure avec petite balançoire sur le patio, chambre et salle de bain grands et propres. Petite cuisine commune extérieure bien utile.

The stay wasn’t horrible but it wasn’t great either. Pictures make this place appear nicer than it is. First night of stay: - No hot water from faucet. Had to wait until next day for someone to address - Light in bathroom extremely dim where it’s hard to fully get yourself together in the mirror. Also had to wait next day for someone to address and put a barely better bulb in There is a large enough hole under the door for critters like bugs and snakes/lizards to come through so I had to block it with a towel. Rust stains in spots near the pool. Entrance gate closes at 4:30 so you have to use a gate code if you want to leave or come in after that time. Front desk leaves after the last guest is checked in (~5pm) so you have to wait till the next day to get any assistance. Towels and wash cloths are stained. I stayed at a place in La Fortuna which had a better septic system so I was able to flush used toilet paper. Here you cannot. You must place in the trash can. Extremely dark out there by 6 pm so doesn’t particularly feel safe walking around especially if you don’t know where you’re going. However although they don’t serve local food they had the best french toast and eggs. Overall place was livable and semi clean but glad I only stayed here for 2 nights. Would recommend for food if you’re looking for non local options and only stay if you’re on the lower maintenance side.

It's a quaint property and has a great feel to it. It kind of grows on you. Don't go with an expectation that it's a 3 star hotel (as Google Shows) and you will enjoy. The restaurant at the hotel serves amazing food. The breakfast was incredible but expensive. But so is food everywhere around in the area. The beach is beautiful and secluded. It's a woman owned business and the owner is lovely. We enjoyed our time and would stay again if we go back to Costa Rica.

This was the last stop of a 2 week trip in Costa Rica - so glad we decided to stay here for our final night. SoulShine was an incredible experience all around - the cabins were well set up for our family of 4. It was nice to have access to a communal kitchen (larger fridge, extra dishes, etc). The pool was very relaxing and the grounds of the property are just stunning. We had breakfast at the restaurant in the morning and it was the most delicious culinary experience. If you stay here DEFINITELY EAT BREAKFAST HERE - you will not be disappointed. We are already planning on coming back to SoulShine next time we are in Costa Rica. Thanks for an incredible experience! One tiny disappointment was that the restaurant stops serving food and drinks at 2pm. We arrived just as it closed and were sad we couldn't order one of their delicious looking cocktails to enjoy by the pool!

Nice people, nice pool, lots of monkeys. I like to walk to Lola’s on the beach via this path: left out of Soul Shine gate, walk about 300 yards, right down Las Olas driveway, (stop for a piña colada at Las Olas bar for cutting through their property) follow the signs to the beach, walk over the elevated wooden walkway through the mangrove, left on the beach. Enjoy

SoulShine was a great option to stay with a toddler. Every cabin has its own little jungle garden which provides privacy and makes you feel part of the nature. Monkeys come visit you regularly there which our toddler loved. It’s really convenient to have a little kitchen with everything you might need in our case right next to our cabin. The room is on a smaller side but cathedral ceiling makes it feel larger. I thought bed linens and towels including pool/beach towels needed an update. They were very visibly dated. What we didn’t like is that the hotel is located on a long dirt road. Since we wanted to explore various areas of Guanacaste during our stay, we had to drive on it every day and it wasn’t a fun experience at all especially if it rained. Same with walking there. Other than that the area has a nice vibe and some good places to eat within walking distance.

I had a lovely stay and was very comfortable, and felt very safe. The breakfasts are as amazing as everyone says! The owners live on site, so they are around for any special needs. Yael was so kind when I realized that I had brought the wrong phone charging cord. She left me use hers to charge up my phone and even bought a new one for me when we went into town the next day. They also helped to arrange transportation to town and arranged a private surfing lesson for me. If you are looking for a lovely, secluded place, this is it!
