Very helpful, friendly and accommodating staff, food good, large portions, quite expensive (would be very good but let down by pizza) Good base for touring Hadrian's Wall, would definitely stay again. Amenities marked down due to limited parking, okay at this time of year but come peak season must be a bit of a 'mare.

Pub with rooms. Great atmosphere, staff friendly and helpful, bed was very soft and the room was quite warm but otherwise good. Bathroom was bigger than needed, especially given the shape of the bath and if having a bath the difficulty of lying in it (think shower tray with extension). Water pressure seemed good though. Food was ok, my husband had an issue with his meal but it was sorted without a fuss by the staff. Breakfast was great and swift. Great tap beers, plenty of options for other drinks too. Clearly a local pub that’s enjoyed, inside and out. Would definitely stay again.

Terrible uncomfortable mattress and pancake flat pillows. Noisy room overlooking main road.( Drunks on a Saturday night till 2am)Walls had been filled but not painted, even blood marks on wall. Breakfast was just ok, although milk, yoghurts kept on a dresser and not fridged.Hot breakfast had been held for a long time in warmers, everything was dehydrated and over cooked/held.Not great to be honest. This hotel won ch4,s 4 in a bed, hate to stay at the competitors in same episode.

This was the most favorite place we stayed in our entire 12 day stay. This cozy authentic coach house was friendly and inviting and the food was wonderful! Wonderful value, facilities and stay.

Second time saying here, and hopefully not the last. Really well located for exploring Cumbria and Hadrians Wall destinations. AD122 bus which takes in those locations stops right outside hotel. Really friendly staff, great breakfast, super clean rooms. Older building so expect some sloping floors and walls off-plumb. Bedrooms are upstairs with no lift, but not a problem for us. Great value, with bar serving goid food and real ale. Can’t ask for much more.

Fantastic choice for breakfast. Friendly staff. Unfortunately, wifi didn't work in bedroom or bar area. Springs felt in mattress and dog hairs on the carpet. Central location near to 5 takeaways and 2 supermarkets but it does have it's own restaurant, which we didn't try. I would definitely stay again if I didn't need the wifi for work.

Good value, charming, good atmosphere. It's an old coaching inn so ceilings are low, windows tiny and the ensuite has to be squeezed in. But very nice rooms, bathroom nicely appointed and eco-friendly, staff very cheery, good breakfast options. Only quibble was that tv reception was very dodgy.

My wife and I spent two nights at the Manor House Inn while exploring Hadrian's Wall and other nearby Roman sites. We totally enjoyed it. From a great breakfast in the morning to an excellent pub / restaurant in the evening, everything was great. The staff was super hospitable and the housekeeping was excellent. Internet connectivity was also excellent. Highly recommended when you're planning on visiting Hadrian's Wall.
