We were too late for breakfast! We went for a swim. The hotel was really scruffy. We were not informed that it was necessary to book dinner before 5.00 p.m. The steps outside were filthy. We were not allowed to have the room key untilil we given the c.c. number. Our stay was unpleasant.

Nice staff and room was comfortable. Food was really nice and was served promptly. Only small gripe was that there was no extractor fan in bathroom.

Love it here, been many times, approx 10! Unit is old and tired and corridors can be split level which can be difficult but there's always help.... Room is great, one of my personal favourites, been in it before... There is a process of building improvement in place and being acted on which is great to see... Price is exceptional, bar and staff excellent try it, you won't be disappointed, total thumbs up from me and I look forward to my next visit👍

We stayed 2 nights and had a good night's sleep both nights. We had breakfast on the last morning, and that was excellent. The hotel is being refurbished externally and is having a new roof, so the building is covered in scaffolding. Clearly, this isn't attractive; however, it shows the hotel is taking its final appearance seriously and ensuring that the hotel is in good condition.

The hotel was value for money. When we stayed, there was scaffolding outside as it is obviously about to undergo external improvement works. Room was clean, although staff had to provide an electric radiator as the heating in the room was not working properly. Bar area was ok with a seating area overlooking the premenade and sea. Breakfast was also average and value for money.

Old dirty hotel. You would not want to put your feet on those carpets. The whole property is in extreme need of refurbishment. At £70 for a single room is a joke. Signs of badly covered damp everywhere. Parking is extra £10 per day but good luck going a free spot in what I think was 10 spaces.

Staff and hotel great, was on the third floor in room 322, due to the wind it sounded like the room was going to blow off!! Luckily I had ear plugs. Great stay though

Didn’t realise the whole hotel is covered in construction. We stayed during a windy night and it felt like the wall was going to fly off! The mirror was shaking. Might have been handier if the dog friendly rooms were on the ground floor - being on the third floor wasn’t the most ideal.

The entire building is surrounded by scaffolding at the moment. It is a much dated hotel with a lot of touch ups needed. But I can see the charm in it and it was certainly busy. It’s very central and directly opposite the pier.
