One star is high. I have stayed in 1,000 hotels and this was easily the worst I have ever been in. Check in is two blocks away at another hotel. The carpet and walls in the Waverly are ripped and dirty. Was a large shredded spot in the hallway carpet. The room was not even close to the one shown on Hotels.com. Bed was hard and not comfortable. Bathroom….was very small. Shower smaller than a phone booth not kidding and the shower hose to the shower head leaked so the water pressure was minimal. Would NEVER recommend it or stay there. I have never left a hotel to stay in another but we looked at leaving but there was no where with vacancies near by and we only were there one night so we roughed it out.

I would not recommend staying at this hotel in Inverness. The room had a strong mouldy smell and was not properly cleaned upon arrival. The bathroom was dirty, the sink overflowed whenever the tap was turned on, and the toilet made very loud noises for a long time after flushing. There was also a constant dripping sound throughout the night that made it very difficult to sleep. To make matters worse, the fire alarm went off at 5am because someone was taking a shower, which was extremely disruptive. We also found multiple hairs on the bed, and overall the apartment did not feel clean or well maintained. We booked a deluxe room with a city view, but what we received was completely different from what was advertised online. The hallway carpets were ripped up, and the apartments themselves were located down the street from the main check-in area, which was unexpected. Unfortunately, the online photos did not accurately represent the accommodation, and the whole experience was a major disappointment.

Location is great. While apt looks fairly recently renovated, housekeeping leaves a lot to be desired. The bathroom fan was broken; the mold and cigarette smoke smell was strong. The bedroom floor was covered with hair. There was no soap in any of three dispensers. Only one kitchen chair. While maintenance was responsive, they could not replace the fan during our stay. The manager did not respond to my text or email.

A hidden gem. Parking was an issue but a perfect spot for everything we wanted to do

Room and apartment ok but lots of noise on street and felt cleanliness could be better. Also you have to walk round the corner to check in and get the key which is difficult to operate for the front door

The sheets were dirty with hair and dander, there was mold in the shower, and the room stunk of cigarettes. It was not the room I booked online and was not even close. The bathroom was tiny with the space between the wall and the shower not being large enough for an average sized mans shoulder width. We left a day early from Inverness it was so bad. Very deceptive pictures online

Small compact room with all the facilities needed

DO NOT STAY HERE!!! BEDBUGS I sat on the couch for one hour upon arrival, and the place where I was the most exposed, my arms, was covered in bites. When I pulled the cushions off the couch to look for bugs, it was absolutely filthy under there. I also checked the bed under the bedsheets, and that was gross, as well. There were stains on the sheets and some random person's clothes in a drawer. They obviously do not care about cleanliness or common decency, since they did not even respond to our message about the bedbugs and having to immediately book in at somewhere else.

Lovely place in the town centre bit noisy at night but earplugs provided do the job Would definitely stay again

The apartments is good but i have small mistakes in their about the cleaning ,and in the corridors is to noise.

Space was good but bedding was stained, walls were stained, oven wasnt particularly clean either. Furniture was broken, mattresses were obviously old could hear and feel all the springs and the area was a bit rough too, drunk homeless outside and people smoking weed somewhere very close as could smell it in the hallway.

First room the door wouldn’t lock, got another room which seemed ok at first but kitchen was filthy dishwasher was full of dirty dishes from previous guests, fridge,microwave, oven hadn’t been cleaned , bottom of bed cover was really stained and dirty

The apartment was not perfect, but clean & comfortable. In the City centre, but not noisy at all, but it was midweek.

Close to the city centre, but that comes with the noises of being in earshot of the bars. If you want to party you have it all around this stay.

Robert was a lovely host, very helpful and accommodating. We enjoyed having the extra space to relax. Street noise can be a bit loud, but the location is great! Host also provided ear plugs for the noise.

Tv did not work , remote battery panel missing . One bedside lamp did not work . The roller blind for the window did not work … managed to roll it up by hand and prop it up on the window ! The live music from the pub across the road was ridiculously loud , into early hours of the morning . Ear plugs left on arrival were not enough to drown out the music . We were not made aware of this situation when booking the room .

Great location but property cleanliness was poor. Crumbs on counter and stains on sheets. WiFi did not work in room or in common areas, owner said the router wasn’t working properly, but it caused problems planning our day trips. Several appliances in apartment did not function properly like garbage cans and curtains.

Very nice place that felt like home immediately. We rebooked twice to stay in Inverness longer.

The apartment itself was adequate... When we could find it. Firstly, you don't check in at the apartments themselves - you check in at the Guest House a few streets over. This is nowhere on the booking information nor was anywhere in the information we received from the property in advance. We turned up to find a note on the door to go to a different building. Then when we did finally get checked in - after having to phone someone because there were signs saying the reception was already closed... at 6pm - we had a magical mystery tour in the apartment building to actually find our room because the singular sign with arrows and directions was tiny and not clear at all. The apartment itself was okay, nothing to shout about, the walls and some of the fabrics were dirty, the blinds didn't work, and the shower doors didn't close properly so left a puddle on the floor, but it was sufficient for a couple of nights to sleep when we were out all day. However, there was no internet in our apartment. Signs everywhere advertising the WiFi... But it did not reach the room I could connect in the main hallway outside the apartment, but it did not reach into the apartment itself. And due to the location, it was VERY noisy. So much so, that the company actually provide earplugs with the towels. Not something they can be blamed for, but something to be aware of. Overall, it'll do if you need somewhere to crash, but be prepared to hunt for your room and have no internet.
