Spending 2 nights here (May 27-28, 2026) was the best decision. The red brick design is unique and very Instagrammable, giving it a traditional aesthetic. The atmosphere of this homestay is very beautiful, calm, and makes you feel at home (very homey!). The room is clean, tidy, with cold air conditioning, and a hot bathroom. The owner is friendly and loves to tell stories. The location is also strategic and easily accessible. Highly recommended for anyone looking for comfortable accommodation with a strong local feel in Banyuwangi. Definitely will come back again! Thank you Bata Merah Homestay!

The owner is very friendly. We checked in late and had a late breakfast, but the service was excellent. If I'm ever in Banyuwangi, I'll definitely choose to stay here. Affordable, comfortable, and delicious food. It's also close to the station and other eateries.

honest review from me, bata merah homestay is very comfortable, feels like home, clean and cool, very shady, the environment has many trees and is spacious. The rooms are very spacious and clean, each room must have a small terrace to sit and relax and chat. the owner and staff are very friendly, have good sensitivity and serve customers very well, thank you mbak mas pak bu for being friendly to serve us. AC nya kurang dingin, mungkin pas kebagian kamar yang AC nya kurang dingin. Saya check in sama anak saya usia 5th dan 7,5th pas saya check out anak-anak saya kena charge 25rb/anak. Suami saya tanya ketentuan umur yang kena charge usia berapa? Sama penjaganya ga dijawab, orangnya pergi ambil kembalian. Saya nginap di bata merah lebih 4x biasanya saya ga pernah di charge bawa anak.

Plus. 1. Harganya cukup terjangkau untuk fasilitasnya. 2. Suasananya asri. 3. Fasilitas kamarnya cukup bersih, rapi dan baru. 4. Pas nginap AC kamar gak dingin tapi diganti kamar baru. 5. Pemiliknya sangat ramah. 6. Breakfast nasi gorengnya enak. Minusnya (yang bisa diperbaiki) 1. Kamar yang kami tinggali pintu kamar mandi gak bisa tutup dari luar yang menyebabkan mau kamar mandi masuk ke ruang tidur. Kesimpulannya kalo ke Banyuwangi lagi nanti insya Allah kita nginep lagi di sini.
