Overall Ratings & Reviews City Yard Inn Hotel

The City Yard Inn is a high quality budget hotel. The hotel is quiet and very clean and the staff are friendly, helpful, and professional. The hotel is a short walk to the port terminals if you are arriving or departing by ferry. And that whole waterfront district has been nicely developed with a lot of bars, restaurants, and shops. There are also several malls that are only a 5-10 minute walk from the hotel. Most importantly, the historic Tallin Old Town is only a short walk from the hotel. And lastly, areas along the waterfront near the City Yard Inn are excellent for biking or jogging. The City Yard Inn is a good hotel, in a great location for a good price.

This is a clean comfortable Hotel. The reception staff were cordial and very helpful. Although the room was very compact, we appreciated having a kitchenette. Also, access to a washer and dryer was very helpful. It would have been helpful to have written instructions on how to operate them. A definite drawback is the presence of 3-4 steps in 2 places on the way to our room on the first floor making it difficult to navigate with heavy luggage. The location, just outside the old town yet quite close to the ferry terminals was ideal.

Clean and convenient

Excellent location10 minute walk to the Old Town. Surrounded by taller buildings there are primarily industrial views. Reception staff speak English but leave by 21:00 each day. They are extraordinary helpful but their absence invites rowdy guests to be disturbingly noisy after 9 p.m. as sound travels readily through poorly sound insulated walls and ceilings. No breakfast served but fully equipped kitchenette is very handy,. Functional medern rooms are spotlessly clean. Beds are comfortable and cable tv has several English speaking channels.. Excellent value, with only major drawback being no hotel reception after 21:00 and early morning.

Looked like a brand new property. Room had a mini kitchen with everything you may need to cook a meal (pans & pots, plates & utensils, cutting board, refrigerator, electric stove top, microwave). There is a grocery store about a block away. No breakfast option, but they do have machines where you can purchase snacks and drinks. The hotel front and entrance are a bit hidden from the main street, but the area is very safe and walkable. Reception was open through 9 pm.

Everything was as advertised. No complaints. Location was excellent. Quick qalk to old tiwn, restaurants, coffee shoos and grocery stores.
